Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

SOTD-30mar17:
Colonial The General Silver w/RR HALO Handle / Captain Titan Mild
Stirling Soap Co. 24mm Finest Fan
LNHC* Tobacco & Bay Shaving Soap
RazoRock Tuscan Oud Aftershave

*Lisa's Natural Herbal Creations shaving soap has been a very pleasant surprise for me.  I had never heard of this soap until someone posted about it on another forum.  They were happy with the soap and were informing people that the soaps were on sale.  I got two 4.5 oz tins for just under $15USD shipped.

Well, my routine ended up all messed up this morning!  It wasn't that big of a deal, but I ended up with my shave routine in solitude of normally 3-4 A.M to about 08:00 this morning.  Not so much solitude.  I didn't even start with a practice lather like I normally do with a new soap.  I just loaded up with the damp Stirling Fan and went into a face lather.  Something very interesting happened.  In less than a minute, I had a thick, creamy, slick yogurt of a lather all over my face!  Now, this was just the 1st shave, but I think I may be impressed!  Maybe because it was so cheap and I didn't have high expectations for a soap I had never heard of?  I don't really think that is it, though.  I ended up with a very nice and close shave with very calm skin.  FYI, the scent reminded me a lot of the WSP Formula T Tobacco soap that I have.  The LNHC has a little bay with the tobacco, but the tobacco is like tobacco leaf, NOT tobacco or pipe smoke.

Anyway, it saved the morning for me!

FYI, here's a link to her website: Lisa's Natural Herbal Creations - Shaving Soap
The sale on shaving soaps is over, but the prices seem very reasonable.  This shop is out of Utah U.S.A..  I do not have any affiliation with this soap maker other than trying the soap when it was on sale.

Spicy Friday
A very refreshing shave this morning. Ginger's Garden makes a top notch cream with argan oil and one of my favorite scents - Spicebomb. The Futur brush is a bit floppy and soft, but it makes a very good lather. Three drama free passes for a comfortable BBS. The matching splash, which provides moisture and a nice menthol cool. I finished up with a spray from sample of Spicebomb, which attested to the scent quality of Spice Grenade.
Prep: Myrsol Emulsion
Cream: Ginger's Garden Spice Grenade
Brush: Merkur Futur
Razor: Merkur Futur (6)
Blade: voskhod
AS: Ginger's Garden Spice Grenade
EdT: Spicebomb
Deo: Spicebomb
