I'll be posting three in a row again. Today's, yesterday's and day before yesterday's shave.
I've been using my Mach 3 yesterday and day before. Multiblades are still convenient when it's too early in the morning or you're away on travel. They still provide excellent shaves provided that you do your part using the right technique, which is the the same one we use with the old school razors. What I don't like is those lubricant strips or the fins beneath the blades. I remove them as soon as I open the cartridge package. No need for those, I just need the blades and the pivoting head.
Tuesday:
- Le Pére Lucien Cèdre-Patchouli
- Semogue 1305 boar brush
- Gillette Mach 3
- Speick+Korres

Wednesday:
- Lea Stick (new formulation)
- Whipped Dog&Maggard Synthetic 22 mm
- Gillette Mach 3
- Speick+Eufros Neutro balm
The people at Lea have heard us complaining about the former stick. This new version is no longer tallow based, and as I tend to prefer tallow based soaps, that made me frown when I read the ingredients. But... surprise, surprise. This new stick is better. Now it doesn't smell like cheap dish washer detergent, it's slicker, and more protective. I'm bad at describing scents, but it's a light and fresh scent, very pleasant. Some guys say it smells like the traditional Lea shaving cream.

Finally, back to the good old orthodoxy. Sharp double edge blade, badger brush, good tallow based soap, three passes, BBS result. The Tüff (German) lotion combines perfectly with the scent of Tabac.
- Tabac
- Whipped Dog Silvertip 24 mm
- Edwin Jagger Kelvin+Gillette Sharp Edge
- Tüff+Korres
