I had a great shave today while breaking new ground by using Lothur Grooming shaving soap for the first time. Right away I have to say this is some luxurious stuff! I was very impressed and am highly curious about their other offerings.
As we near the end of Vintage April I thought why not break out the rare Black Handle Tech I just so happened to have and use it to continue my learning experience with the 1948 Gillette Blue Blade I've been using lately. This turned out to be a good decision. This razor and blade combination gave me a really nice shave.
I did a three-pass shave with some buffing on my way to a dfs face. The Lothur TEARS shaving soap was phenomenal in facilitating this. The lather was very creamy and slick and did a great job of protecting my skin throughout my shave. The lather feels good and was fun to apply. This stuff really stands out in my opinion.
On to the scent... Oh, my god. Just insane. TEARS smells so good! No joke. I could wear this all the time and never get bored of the scent. If I had to shave with this and only this for the rest of my years. I'd honestly be fine with that.
It's a bright, citrusy, cologne-style fragrance that's masculine and intoxicating. The notes are listed as bergamot, lemon, and mandarin combined with delicate herbal notes, jumping out on top. Heart notes of neroli blossom, lavender, and jasmine. All that resting on a gentle musk accord base note. I'm telling you. This one is banging for sure!
After my sweet shave, I went with the tried and true classic that is Pinaud Citrus Musk to finish my shave off right. Again, another wise choice if I do say so.
Alright, my fellow wet shaving enthusiasts. There you have it. Happy Friday and enjoy your shaves.
Prepare for mind control!

Does anyone else love the smell of wet dirt? Maybe it's just me!! I like Tempest but I love B&M Petrichor more. I'll give Tempest a few more shaves before I decided to keep or move it on.

That Brush is sooo SWEET Toby
Thank you sir!
Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.
