I don't know how many shaves I've had from this tub so far but enough you'd think I'd see a dent at least. Doesn't appear to have receded one bit at all. BTW the lather on the brush was pre-face lathering. Not the finished product. Love the performance and scent. Have a great day Everyone !

Good morning all! Hope you had pleasant evening.

I guess this would be a 66.6% Italian appreciation shave since four of the six artisans represented originate from there (the razor handle was made in Raleigh NC and the RazoRock head in Canada). New soap day as well with the Mondial 1908 "Zagara" soap arriving over the weekend. Medium-strong scent strength both off the soap itself and when lathered with a nice mix of floral and light citrus. Thick, slick, yogurt-like lather built with the Zenith Manchurian 26mm ST badger brush. Two passes (+touch-up) and I finished with RazoRock's "Blue Barbershop" splash and a spray of Acqua di Parma "Colonia Essenza" EdC.

Hope you have a great day. Smile

As part of some comparative analysis with the Wald A1 knot, I have been experimenting with varying proportions of bowl vs face lather development time, for my hybrid lathering method. Today I went about 50/50 and found the lather development slightly lacking. The La Faulx is still a pleasure, even in less than perfect conditions.

Overall Score: 9.7 / 10

Yes, that's a Paradigm 17-4 handle on the Carbon razor head. I just thought I would try it out of curiosity; I much prefer the regular Carbon handle. Although the Chanel aftershave has grapefruit and lemon in its top notes rather than pineapple, it still works quite well with the Ethos soap scent.
