Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

It has been quite a while since I last used the Schick Canadian E3. In an inexplicable turn of events I somehow managed to catch a tiny slice on the neck while repositioning the razor for an ATG stroke. Nevertheless, a strong level of BBS was achieved. My notes indicate a Schick Injector blade. But, I am wondering if it is a Personna blade. The blade felt a tad more aggressive than typical. Across the injector format, I am still favoring the adjustable M paired with a Schick Twin injector blade.

Aftershave: Løthur Orange

So the time has finally come. Løthur Orange has been released and today I got to shave with it.

Right off the bat, I should say this soap's scent is inspired by Viking from Creed. It has notes of aromatic woods, pink pepper,  citrus notes, herbal accord, peppermint, clove, floral accord, modern fougere base accord. These all come together to make one awesome fragrance!

I am able to identify each of the scent components and can say that this is a "fine" fragrance through and through. It's one of those fragrances I believe should be (will be) universally loved. I honestly can't see anyone, man or woman, not liking this scent.

In typical luxury shaving fashion, the Løthur soap base was out of this world. If you're not on the Løthur bandwagon, you should be. If you've never tried a Løthur shaving soap before, pick one and do it! This stuff gets a 10/10 for overall protection, fragrance quality, and post-shave feel. Seriously, don't sleep on this stuff. There's a lot to like here.

I went for a single-edge shave today and I'm glad that I did. The result I achieved with this Gem Push Button was no less than perfect. I did three passes and earned a bbs. With the outstanding performance of the soap, I was easily able to buff going against the grain, all but guaranteeing victory.

To round it all out I used the matching Orange aftershave. This really sealed the deal on what was truly a really nice shave today.

When all else fails, a good shave will put you in a good mood.

Thanks for reading and enjoy your shaves.
