I was looking for a thread about this and didn't find one. So some soaps really have great post-shave than others.
Some days I really get a great post shave from a particular soap but the next time I use it not so much, or another scent of the same soap.
Some of my best post-shave soaps are A&E , Grooming Department, Declaration Grooming, and Zingari man. Not exactly sure which ones I like the best, probably A&E and GD.
So I'm wondering what you guys think is the best post shave soap you use? Great shaves to you all!

I’ve got to try Ethos and cutting edge because I put GD and WK right up there and if Ethos is better than those I have to try it.

I’d put T+S up there as well.

I’ve tried everything. I’ve been very impressed with wholly Kaw sierro until I tried the new mammoth tusk base. It’s unbelievable. Hate mammoth or love it, this new base is unreal and post shave is without a doubt the best I’ve ever experienced

I have not tried the new Mammoth Tusk base. I have a large collection of elite soaps. If the new Mammoth base will compete with the likes of WK Siero, I might want to give it a try.

Soap, as blade, is very personal.
I enjoy reading other people experiences.
But mostly, I find them not appliable because of my dermatitis.

IMHO, not the brand but the line (referring to the base) is to focus.
On the market now there's a line that is on 2nd place in my Top3.
It's Grooming Dept Formula Nai.
But other GD base has not similar performance.
Not even close ...

Personally, I love the post-shave I get from Mystic Water. More importantly, it is a consistent performer. I've had similar experiences as you keto with having a great post-shave one day but the next use of the soap and the post-shave isn't as good.

I have not yet tried Ethos or Mammoth tusk-base. But am looking forward to doing so based on the comments here and in other threads

That lets me know that I'm not really imagining that great post-shave than lesser degree on another day. It's one of those things I've not figured out.
Ethos and mammoth caught my attention to but I haven't gotten any yet.
It's always interesting to see what others are enjoying and experiencing.

Grooming Department has produced a lot of soap bases over the years. You are absolutely correct that Nai, especially the most recent vegan version, is one of the very best. Some of the older bases: Lusso, Janus, original Mallard, Donkey Milk, Primus, etc. are excellent, but they are not as good as Nai. However, Kairos is every bit as good. I think you will also find that the upcoming release of Mallard will be equal to Nai in post-shave. As good as the last release of Kairos has been, the next release of Kairos will be even better. I just tested Kairos 5.0 yesterday for the very first time.

I've stopped trying all of the new soaps and bases being offered as it just gets too expensive, living in Canada.
Mystic Water and Grooming Dept are the best I have used, so far, and I can't imagine others having a significant improvement on post-shave compared to these two. Though I'd love to to try Ethos to see how it compares to these two. Maybe, some day.
