This thread is very entertaining. I work in a field that involves a lot of acronyms (and this was true even before texting-talk sprang up). The WS world is so full of quirky terms and funky acronyms. In general, I love language and find it all very fun and entertaining. This thread discussion about objections to language/terms/acronyms is excellent!
I’m with you, ExtraProtein. “Den” to me has a slightly nerdy ring to it, and makes me think of boy scouts, comic books, cookie crumbs and the like. (Then again, I can be a bit nerdy, so the term should actually appeal to me…)
Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

Might not use the word hate in my description but I'm always amused when an item is labeled "unobtainium" and "for sale". Seems then to negate the descriptor of unobtainium. Hahaha.

I used to not mind it, but the continuous use of that term has really started to grate. In fact, I deliberately avoid FS threads that have that term thrown in. I think that it's another of those cases where it was initially cute, but then overuse made it annoying.

And I hate it again today, since it once again has been used/misused.
