OK, this time it's not a term I dislike, but one I love: the description of a treasured brush as a "cabinet queen."

I try not to use YMMV
in my posts...as that sentiment should be obvious for any comment.

I like using it so that people who like something so much that they can't see any criticism of that product without getting upset, so YMMV.

As I've made clear on another forum, "suds" should be reserved for dishsoap... or sub-par lather... or sometimes the early stage of proto-lather.
"Not sure what I'm doing wrong, all I got were suds."

Another one for "baby butt smooth". Can't stand it. 1. I don't like kids let alone babies. 2. I don't like to associate a child's butt with my face. 3. You sound stupid saying it. Go say "my face is baby butt smooth" to a non wetshaver and watch their reaction.

Well, thank god you entered this world as an adult... Rolleyes

I hate "scrub", "scritch", "backbone", "flowthrough", "hooked/gel/crunchy tips", and all of the crap that Scott's deciples came up with...

Haha. Enter As an adult.... I can understand his aversion to baby bottoms/face analogy. Don't understand the not liking kids though. I love kids. They keep me young. YMMV. Not too many terms bother me as most of them have a pretty clear meaning and convey an idea well. Nero, I know you dislike "suds" and can get behind you on that one being suds is really not as good a descriptor for a lather as baby bottom is for a shave. I'm not F. Scott Fitsgerald and thus don't have great ways to describe common things we all experience in this hobby. And most of us don't use these terms anywhere else except in the hobby. Folks seem to understand the vocabulary. So break out your gel tipped Cabinet Queen with awesome back bone and flow, and whip up a mountain of suds from your cologney soap and hope for a baby butt smooth whisker-jerk.

One term I cannot stand and will beat to death whomever started it is faceturbate. YUCK!
