While I felt like I tossed and turned all night, my wife says I did sleep and I snored A LOT! It was not totally uncomfortable, but just enough to make me feel I had to stay still, to be able to hold that perfect position where the canula wasn't pushing into my nose and the tape wasn't pulling on my face. I was instructed to put two pieces of cloth tape on either side of my nose to hold the canula in place. The oximeter on my finger didn't seem too bad, but the tape holding it and the tubing in place was noticeable after a few hours.

Being a couch potato and napping is on the docket now. It is about 10F and snowing. Crazy. Forecast is for icy mix or freezing rain later. So, I guess the good news is warming temperatures?!

I wait 2 weeks now for the results and recommendations. After last night, even if the clinic says my nasal spray and allergy med don't help apnea, I sure noted their absence. And I am still hoping for better sleep soon!

Thank you all for your well wishes!
I had a feeling it was going to be a difficult sleep. My wife had similar problems when she went for the sleep study.

Hopefully they get some good answers from the night. Rest up and stay warm!

Edit: Did you resemble this poster- child for a grumpy, sleepless night? Lol. (That's really my cat)[Image: f82851817f5170c5373d2f912229b13f.jpg]

Pretty much on target! Adorable grumpy face!

Who'd have thought how important it would become to us Mark. Those were the days I envy now...

A bit of a stay-cation this week, as I "had" to take a week off in the first quarter, per company rules. So I took a couple of days off this week to make it officially my week of PTO. Funny rules but I guess the concern is we'd all take the summer off! Only allowed 2 weeks from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

So, since I am enjoying not going to work this week, I have decided to also enjoy using a variety of razors, soaps, and brushes! Durning a "normal" week, I have been trying to fix at least a couple of items to make the morning or evening before a little easier (like it is really that difficult to pick out gear, but you get it!) time-wise.

The razors chosen thus far:
GEM Micromatic Clog Pruf Peerless: An outstanding shave Sunday

Oliblade on Monday, trying a closed down settings that a fellow in another neighborhood likes,1.5 for all passes and fully closed for the ATG above the upper lip. I found it very comfortable and knowingly over-shaved some areas with no irritation. But the 0.5 setting, for me fully closed, wasn't doing enough, so I went to 1.0, which was great for the ATG under my nose. This and the M3teorite from OliWorks are fantastic razors.

Yaqi Romulus for yesterday. I hadn't used this razor since mid-December, when my Tatara Amakuni arrived. It shaved splendidly. Between these two, would I buy another AC-razor? Maybe. Rumor has it that Lambda will be releasing a SE this year. Given what a joy the Athena is, I imagine Lambda will make a wonderful SE razor. My guess would be that it'll be in the AC format rather than injector or GEM, but who knows what the mad scientist Lambda_Razors in Greece has dreamed up!

This morning we went very old school, the GEM Junior (ca. 1933). I love the handle and love the shaves with this piece of functional art. Some say that the handle as an Art Deco vibe, but I am a Neanderthal when it comes to art! I just know that it looks cool. Mine is super spiffy, thanks to Back Roads Gold!

Finished up my week of shaving with whatever my face wanted me to use and had a great time. With the hardware and software that I have, it would be challenging to not have a great shave!

Since I last wrote, I have used vintage and modern again.

Thursday was the Canadian Schick Type E (ca. 1946), giving a wonderfully close shave, but with many strokes needed so methinks a new blade is needed next outing.

Friday was the Karve Bison, and only the 4th shave on a Statum blade, but man was it tugging! Another blade binned.

Today was the ss Karve CB razor with the B plate and a new Personna Platinum Chrome blade. Wonderful! Mike's Natural Soaps unscented was my soap, and I have had this guy's soaps since either December 2015 or January 2016. Mike is a master and now would be considered old-school in that I don't think he's changed his base since I have been buying his soaps. Thinking of threads bemoaning artisans closing down makes me want to buy some more tubs to both support Mike and to have plenty of backups!! Although, and someone feel free to correct me if this is wrong, I believe Mike has always and only done this as side thing, never trying to make a living at it as Rod and Mandy have. And speaking of Rod and Mandy, there is another store that I need to buy more from to show support. Of course, it doesn't hurt that they make outstanding products, and coffee roasting!!

This week's shaves will be with the Overlander, a PPC blade, and MacDuff's Soap Company's Aspen Parkland. Some of my favorites all around. Brushes will vary based on my morning mood or the prior evening's decision!

This is how things looked after this morning's shave.

The hole has been there for a couple shaves already, but I think we'll widen it this week! The brush is Laminar Flow, one of Paul Stubble DaddyTrotter's early works. Dave has another, which is named Kickflip. Both are made from strips of birch wood, stained I believe, and glued in layers, than turned on a lathe to make the final product. I was smitten when I first saw it! I discovered mine had fallen down in the back of the drawer out of sight (and with me that translates to out of mind!) and I had to use it today. A wonderful brush with an AP Cashmere 26mm knot. Lathers well and feels like butterfly wings applying the lather! (Or angel's wings. I forget. But Ken Fluffy I think used the phrase first!)

This is the photo I am using for the Shave of the Week Society in another 'hood.
