For the coming week:

I have been enjoying this Jayaruh #431 for a couple of days now and decided to use it and the Zombie Genes G5A alternately this week. It has been too long not using a boar, and i had to look back at the DecemBoar thread and my Journal here to answer some questions, namely, having to reload. Looks like I needed to "relearn" that feature!  Load longer and don't be afraid of the reload, is what I found in my review.  Only 165 days to DecemBoar 2022!

The Fat Tuesday shave

Followed Paul Stubble Daddy advice and put a bit of water on the puck for several hours last night and hand abundant lather without needing to reload.

Williams Wednesday!

I added a little water last night to the puck, and once again had abundant lather with no reloading needed. Sometimes I think I forget things I did before and rediscover them again! After using synthetic brushes and badgers for months now, I "forgot" about wetting the puck, something I used to do consistently. I used to start with a dry synthetic on a puck upon which I put a small amount of water. Somehow, I have shifted to soaking all brushes while in the shower and loading off of a dry puck. Nothing new, everything old is new again, and once more I confirm my memory is slightly better than a gold fish!

Level 1 plate used this morning for an effortless and enjoyable shave. Feels as good as Level 2 yesterday, but I know the results won't last as long. I think. Maybe my memory is Swiss Cheese on this as well  Tongue Blush

First, a clarification: my post yesterday with Schultz was supposed to be funny. In retrospect, I believe it comes off as conceited. I consider many if not all you as my friends, not some fan base for my cult of personality!

Second: 33. While not nearly as significant as 42, it represents how many days until meeting a personal goal. It is the number of days left before I mark 1 year of daily shaves. Since beginning shaving with a puck of soap, a brush, and a safety razor, I did not have such a goal in mind. And during the year of the Big Suck (2019 for us), I shaved when necessary or when I needed some time to relax and regroup. But 5 months ago, I noted I hadn't missed a shave for half a year! This is when it became a "thing" for me, something I wanted to do. Just another aspect of our strange but fun grooming like grandpa!

This was to be the set up this week, and for the most part it has, except that I haven't switched the brush yet. I am really enjoying the Maggard boar knot that Paul (MrDoug) gave me in the JR#431 handle. For the last of the week, I may stay with it or I may switch out to the other Maggard boar, in the Ever Ready handle from Paul. Either way, I am having great shaves and remembering the fun of DecemBoar (only 5 months away, lol!)

Hope you all are well!

Those Maggards Boar knots are awesome, aren't they. After NovemBoar I cleared out most of my Boars. Only kept the Maggards (in the Fluffy handle). I should pair down my synths, too... But it's like choosing which child to get rid of. Lol.
