William's Wednesday!

A wonderful shave with a great kit!

Schick Type I Hydro-magic, chrome-plated (Thanks Dave in KY)
Schick Injector blade, Japan (2)
Vintage William's Mug Soap (Thanks again, Dave!)
Aurora Borealis with SynBad knot (Thanks Stubble Daddy and apshaveco)

Tried to curb my enthusiasm this morning and it was difficult! No nicks but a touch of irritation as I, again, over did things in the fun of removing whiskers!

A wonderful shave with a new to me SynBad from apshaveco

The chrome Hydro-magic is wonderful. But it is a wee bit more "aggressive" when I go ATG. I had my Canadian Type E handy for comparison, and the Type E was smooth as silk ATG. I will have to remember that for the next outing. What fun, I can use 2 wonderful razors! (Disclosure: I often use a milder razor for the ATG in the van dyke area!)

I am off work this week, for medical stuff. My wife is having a surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess in Boston Wednesday afternoon. Out-patient surgery, but we were asked to bring an overnight bag just in case. And given COVID restrictions, I will need a hotel room if she has to stay overnight, as only patients are allowed in the rooms overnight. Given her complicated medical issues, prayer, positive energy, and good will are appreciated!

Sending prayers for a smooth and uneventful surgery, Eric. I agree with Dave... It is at least worth looking into.

Thanks Paul. I spoke with someone at the surgeon's office, and BIDMC is firm on only patients allowed in the rooms overnight. When we were there for the consults and tests earlier this year, I noticed that most waiting areas are closed off. Only the patient and 1 other are allowed into the facility. One waits in a large, open cafeteria area. Not a problem, just means I need to book a room somewhere just in case, and be able to cancel without difficulty and excessive fees (preferably no cancellation fee!)

Good, glad you got that on your radar. Boston hotels aren't usually cheap. Best to have a place you can get a refund or some credit or something.

Good luck! Hopefully everything goes so smoothly, there's no need to stay.

(I say Boston, but what I really mean is Big city. NYC or DC or whatever will have the same high costs.)
