Rather than post in the main forum, I think I'll be discrete and ask here: has anyone heard from Celestino lately? He's been MIA here for over a month. I miss his SOTD photos, works of art! I know there was a job layoff that affected him. I don't see any postings in other neighborhoods, either.

Not here.  In response to your post Eric, I checked here plus at B&B and TSD.  Latest I found is 10/28 here.  I'm sure he (and his photos) are missed by many.

He was gone awhile and then saw a couple posts. I thought I should let him know he was missed and now regret I didn't as I haven't seen him for a bit again......

It's never too late, and you are a pretty darn good ambassador of  the shaving community.

Shave notes for the last few days: polished Yates 921 and various brushes. This week of 8 days (wait, what?! Started Saturday!) will be split between the new to me polished Yates 921 razor and the black Henson Al-13, both loaded with my favorite blade, the Personna Platinum Chrome (aka, Israeli Red). I wanted to try the polished version, as I believed, deep in my shave heart of hearts, that it would glide better over my face! And it seems to be doing that. I am also using the Mid-aggression plate, the M. I have the brass hybrid and the High aggression H plate, but I seem to do real well with the M plate.

And the latter half of the week will see the Henson doing the job. I need to give is some consistent time to make sure I really like it. Looks cool for sure (I bought a black one from the BST), but will it be as good as the Yates and the Karve? Only time will tell!

Yesterday was the hybrid tribble Green Ray brush, and today Communion, reset with a 28mm Oumo 2BED. I did not use any spacers, and so far I am okay with that. The brush is scrubby without being pokey, which is great, but doesn't splay easily. It paints well, though. So I will use it some more, and decide what to do about spacers. I tend to like floppy brushes, I guess.

Good Morning, MaineYooper! Can you enlighten me on what you are talking about with spacers? Thanks!
