For this week, here is the line up, although players may change at a moment's notice!
In the upper left, the new and very much enjoyed on 3 uses, is the PAA brush warmer. Man oh man, warm lather when outside it's in the upper 20s in the ante meridian! And we have these big huge window panes, and even if they are double-paned, it can get a little cool in the loo.
The soap was a splurge after selling some stuff. I have been hearing (rather, reading) about how great the CK-6 formula from PAA is, so along with the brush warmer and the Green Ray hybrid Tribble brush, I got the Scentsless in the ultra-premium formula (says so right in the ad!).
And brushes were themed to be Trotter Handcrafts wooden handles. This morning was the 28mm SynBad fan, which I swear is bigger than the 30mm bulb I have. I loaded heavy, and the soap was more than enough (is there such a thing?). I had to keep dipping the tips of the knot as I lathered my face to get the consistency I like. Obviously, there can be too much soap loaded!
And making its inaugural use after being all spiffied up by
AlanH81, is the General, atop a Timeless titanium handle.
The shave was a very good one. The General does seem to glide better, and after using GEMs for a couple of weeks or more, it was nice to get under my nose a little easier! And someone somewhere mentioned using an injector to touch up the goatee area, and I have tried that a bit and like it! And I get to use more than one razor! Win, win!!
Now, about the players switching out. I have been pulling knots and scraping handle sockets in anticipation of setting new knots. Some one I sold some brushes to posted in another forum about his G5A and how it is the only synth he know of that actually seems to need what he can only call a break in period, even though he admits synths shouldn't need on. That reminded me of Paul T's praise for the G5A. So I dug around and found my G5A, cleaned up the bump a bit to get rid of old silicone, and reset it. It will make an appearance Tuesday or Wednesday, sort of a "do-over" if you will.
Hope your weekend is ending well, and you are as ready as you can be for Monday!
