Today was almost a 3-peat, as I changed the brush to the Razorock BC silvertip synthetic. Another great shave with the Type M @6 and the twin blades.
Still waiting to hear something re: surgery for my wife. Our local GI office has been "pushing" it, they tell us, but no calls here. I am going to call today after any lunch times the office may keep.

It's almost the weekend! SEptember has been going well for me, and I think I'll either break out the General soon. Time for more AC goodness!

Thanks, Tim, I appreciate hearing that. Just seems wrong that there is no good follow up, even an email saying they are still working on it. I now, I am being unrealistic. Given my work, I can't stop and inform every single person about an issue with the prescription. We try to follow up on anything that causes a delay, like have to order product. But insurance and Pharmacy Benefits Mangers (evil middle men) throw up so many roadblocks to finishing an rx, that we couldn't call everyone. Though it would be cool if an automated text or email could be sent saying "your prescription is in insurance jail, awaiting bail money."  

SEptember 11 shave

Comparison shave today, using an M1 with a sChick (5) blade to compare to the Schick II (5) used yesterday in the M2. (Just coincidence that the blade use was the same for both! Couldn't have done better if I tried to!)

So to my mug the M1 set at 6 had more blade feel than the M2 at 6. The shave was great, although I achieved a couple of small nicks at one corner of my mouth, which we will blame on me. Refreshed with some Thayer's WH original, and a cold water splash! Overall, the shave didn't quite seem as care-free as the twin blade counterpart, so I will most likely stay around 5 on the M1. I love the glass-like finish, but want comfort more than dolphin. The M2 gave both comfort and glass smooth at 6, so yay for that!

Great shave today, and this is the first use of the Timeless handle. It is a Mary Poppins handle for me!

On Monday's shave, it seemed like the General was not gliding well. I figured maybe the soap wasn't as slick as this razor preferred, so I added more (tip dip only) water on pass 2. Still the head seemed to drag, reminding me of my Vector shaves. So as I had a few extra minutes that morning, I pulled out a different brush and the Zingari Man for pass 3. Marginally better but still some drag.

Today, I used Canada shave soap for pass 1. About the same as Zingari. So another brush and Mike's Natural used for a spilt face comparison. Mike's definitely more slick, with only a little drag. The General is not polished, so this may factor in as well as user error. Tomorrow I may try with another soap. I need to look up what I used in the past with this razor, and nail down is it me or the soap or some combo!

But as Tim says, Life is good and I am RCS and refreshed for the day. Good news on the surgeon front, which I will update when I have more time. I need to finish dressing, bus my dishes, fill the coffee mug, and get to work!

Here's to a Tuesday that is better than Monday! (Monday's always seem to get an extra sprinkling of fairy dust from the Suck Fairy!!)

Methodical.

As Fluffy called, my methodical approach peaked this morning. The Proline in the General had been used for a week in the Hawk, and I remember purposefully flipping the blade when I loaded the General. So I got to thinkin' (dangerous at the best of times!) and decided to flip it back. And Shannon's Nil was the soap I used first with the General, so out it came. Well, not much different than with the other soaps. So I flipped the blade back, rinsed the brush, and continued with Ethos Clean, as it was to be the soap this week.

I think my drag issue (no, not dressing up and going to that  club!) is that I just spent a week shaving with injectors, and they glide so well for me that at times I am not sure I have the blade making contact! And if I hold the General a tad steeper, no drag, but more blade feel. It may be as simple as that. In any event, a wonderful shave, really comfortable (my goal RCS) and refreshing feeling. I just dig feeling refreshed instead of that tingly raw feeling when things go awry. 

Hump day is a day off, try to take care of bill paying (propane delivered for the first of the season) and just recovering from Monday and Tuesday. Work has been nuts. On Thursday, I was to report an hour early so tech could come and start replacing/upgrading hardware. Guess how that went! Two screens give you a headache if you use them due to fuzziness (wrong cables provided) and one screen doesn't fit the stand, so it is propped up against the wall. Nice. and it took over 9 hours, which pretty much stopped my in my tracks. And as each terminal was replaced (we have 8), I had an extensive list to run through to make sure they worked. Several 30+ minute calls with support, as tech replacing was only hardware, not software. I am almost bald now from pulling my hair out! 

TL;DR: we are still trying to catch up. Makes for lots of disgruntled patients, which I get, but it is so hard sometimes NOT to tell them to eff off, it's just your ED med!!

I was going to say Eric that if you changed razors you need to be mindful of changing your muscle memory to match them. That may be the issue with the drag. Something I am always cognizant of as I change razors daily.
