In the days of my miss spent youth. My friends and I wound up at the ER in Baltimore. How you ask. Well my buddy Chad ran out of drinking money while we were in Fells Point. So in order to "earn" some money. He bet he could hide/stick a quarter up his nose far enough that you couldn't see it.  Everyone ponied up some money and he carried out his retarded drunken magic trick.
Once rammed in. He triumphantly claimed his winnings. Ordered another beer. Then began to attempt to retrieve his now. Lucky quarter.  No dice, dummy. Bartender attempted to use a pair of pliers to get it out. But pushed it farther into his hollow skull. Now there was pain and pressure. And some blood coming out of Chads nose. But the quarter was holding tight.   So off to the ER we went.
Luckily for him I know Baltimore pretty well. And got him there (Hopkins Bayview hospital) pretty quickly. After two hours they were able to get out his quarter. And get it to stop bleeding. I guarantee a thousand copies of that X-Ray were made. The profile view showed the coin even right between his eyes.  While waiting we changed the channel on the TV in the waiting room and watched WWF wrestling.
During the wait. Two gun shot victims came in. One limped in (small caliber foot wound. Self inflicted) The other walked.  And a dude with someone's front tooth stuck between his middle and ring finger bandaged up in a pair of panties.  We had so much fun. That we occasionally went back just to hang out in the waiting room. We made friends with the BCPD Sgt. that was assigned to the ER on weekends. He would regale us with his favorite stories.   Lemonade out of lemons.

Wow, sounds like a lovely place. Lol. I don't think I've ever had fun going to an ER... For myself or anyone else.

I'm heading out to Baltimore soon, but I think I'll try to skip the ER.

I think there was a documentary style reality show, Tales from the ER. Glad our visit was tame! Ken's sounds exciting and amusing!

I'll keep my ER story to myself as Ken's can't be beat. Glad the misses was feeling better but sorry about the long wait and aggravation. Been there at times with friends doing the same........

She called her doctor, and we were advised to go to the hospital ER. After waiting 4 hours, she said she was feeling a little better, so at 5 hours, we left without being seen. We believe she was passing a gall stone. Her doc wanted the hospital to do an MRI to confirm this, but after 5 hours, we'd had enough. No eta on how much longer, so we signed her out.

Now we're trying to regroup with chicken tacos, a la chef Ereek!

Late to the party I am (again), but love your Yoda story I do, and - more importantly - glad to hear that things worked out for Missus Ereek.

Today's shave is what I called my friends shave. The razor is from mrdoug, the brush from Stubble Daddy, and the soap from molon_labe.

It was a great shave thanks to my friends! After skipping yesterday due to the ER misadventure, I needed that!

Also, Ken, Dave, Mike, and Tim, you guys are also in my Circles of Friends, just like the old MCI days!

Thanks for the shout out Eric. Next time you’re at the ER. Wear your safety shirt. Then if you get bored you can direct traffic.

I don't care who you are, this is funny! I laughed out loud for real, no emoji needed. You are putting ideas into my head!

Quick question for those of you who use Haslinger soaps: do you break it up to get it to fit a tub? I never had this brand before, so I don't know if it is a sample or not. I am thinking it's time to get a dedicated cheese grater for the shave drawer.

The Williams mug soap is now in a mug, photo tomorrow!

Yep, that’s the full size Haslinger puck. Use the old cheese grater.
