SoftGuards are too mild even for me plus the Kai Protouch MG is more comfortable and efficient.

I've potentially had a breakthrough in eliminating the less comfortable first pass with guarded blades even when skipping a day. Keith are you shaving fast enough? On a whim I decided to seriously up the pace of the strokes on the first pass with the guarded Kai. Fast but not reckless. I'm using the steel Vector as I need the stability that the additional weight provides. Would I shave so fast with the Pro Super? I doubt it.

Going through my blades again and I still prefer non-Feather blades in the Vector.

Hey Matt always appreciate thoughts of you or anybody else the more the merrier, as they say.
I've had a few more shaves with the Soft Guard blade and we'll post them a little bit later.
That's a good question about the speed of the swipe or shave strokes, I'll try to pay attention to that part and see.
When things got tuggy I did try to (Shane's  add pressure) without really knowing which direction he meant to add it but usually pressure means downward Force.
The downward Force pressure thing wasn't going to help me, but possibly momentum or speed of stroke could plow through better so I believe I did experiment there slightly.

I've had a few shaves with the Feather SoftGuard now.
To me the blade is very mild and very safe to use.
I altered my shaves to include more traditional three pass and then touch ups.
It seemed like when I did more of a conventional three pass plus touch up strokes I could end up with a nice shave.
I say one thing the skin really does recuperating well with this blade and my skin can take plenty of passes and strokes with it.
It's a nice blade and probably has it's sweet spot in a blade lineup.
My thoughts may change on the SoftGuard blade but right now I think it's the mildest of the lot I've tried.
I'm relabeling some Tryablade AC pouches and putting some of the less used blades. I'll recycle through the blades to see my thoughts then.

I really like these blade dryers for storing my current use AC blades. I bought several of them and rubber band one to each of my AC blade dispensers so I know which blade is in which dryer. That also allows me to use different blades on different days instead of using one blade until is done before using a different blade.

I also have several of the DE and GEM versions of those dryers (just choose the drop down to select what type of blade dryer you want). I have bought several other items from that person's shop and have enjoyed them. I have no relation to that seller but enjoy his products.

That's an idea I've delt Frugal shave before too.
He custom made a Gibbs 3D printed handle and still sells that model of twisted looking design.
I like dealing with him, a really nice guy.
I saved those blade dryers to my favorites for now.

So what I did was jump to a blade that's probably the other end of the spectrum the Feather Super Professional.
I've had two shaves and they were both on a two-day beard so the skin was a little recuperated.
This Feather Super Pro makes quick work of my whisker but if I mess with it too much I'm digging right through the skin to a weeper which happened.
I've got some really tough and rough areas around my chin that just don't want to lose the hair or don't want a blade drug over it.
It's pretty amazing what the ole windshield wiper razor (Vector Ti) can do with one of those Super Pro blades.
I know from experience that's going to be too much for everyday shaving after a couple of times.
Be a great Sunday going to meeting shave though.
I'm not positive but I might like the Feather Super Pro blade more than the Feather Professional .
Almost sounds like some kind of comic book hero blade with a name long as a rope.
It's Super Blade to the rescue!
I've got one more blade to give a try that DanLaw Dan modified and Seth Lesser mailed my way.

The Feather AC blades have unique indents along the spine identifying the variant quickly

I didn't even notice that.

Light

Unguarded:
Pro has no indents
Super Pro has 1 indent
Light has no indents but has a very narrow central mounting hole

Guarded:
ProGuard has 2 very shallow indents and distinct regularly spaced wire guards wrapping the edge

SoftGuard has 2 distinct indents and a fine sawtooth pattern to the guards

Kai has a round hole adjacent to central mounting hole absent from Feather AC blades - find all Kai ACs brutally harsh

Very good observations, I'm going to take some screenshots of that. Nice job!
