Could have just told her of course you do, because everyday with me is a gift Smile

Those are the kind of retorts that get me in trouble.

My wife doesn't like anything I have that is "barbershop" scent, Stirling Ozark mountain, or aqua velva. Fortunately I shave right before work usually so I just use what I'm in the mood for.

My wife hated CRSW Jardin d'Orange. I found out after I had the soap and balm and a decant of Terre d'Hermes! I ended up trading them.

She likes Tabac- in fact she picked it out by smelling it when we were at Pasteur's!

Posting Freak
I read through all of the posts in this thread and it only serves to confirm my standing view that women are fickle - what a surprise! While I don't want to actually repel my wife I do choose scents primarily on whether or not I like them and I like Bay Rums and my wife does not - says I smell like cloves even the ones claiming to be clove free. Its all good though because neither of us has ever told the other what scent to wear. We wear what we like and then we have to appreciate one another's choice. Or stay clear. Whichever.Smile

She forced me to sell everything she didn't like. She smells everything I buy before allowing me to use them. Smile

The only Significant Other in my life is my daughter. All others are just "Other", not significant. With my kid, I have a fair amount of leeway as to what I use and wear. She doesn't care any more than an 11 year old should care, which is good for me.

She is not a big fan of Pinaud Clubman...she says I smell "old".

She also doesn't like any of my various tobacco scents. I think they remind her of when I was a smoker. I quit almost 3 years ago at her request, so anything with "tobacco" in the name or title is a no-no to her. She does acknowledge that it's my choice. I mean, I put them down July 10, 2013, and haven't touched a cigarette since, so she appreciates that I am done with them, she just doesn't like the scent...it reminds her of having packs of smokes laying around...and I can't blame her for that...

Other than that, I usually get, "I don't really care, Dad. Wear what you want"...

As an aside...her request that I quit was her Birthday Wish. I asked her what she wanted for her 9th birthday, and she said, "I just want you to quit smoking so you'll be around a little longer". That was 6 days before her birthday, and I haven't touched a smoke since...
