As I have been preparing for the Santal Auster release along with Scott from Declaration Grooming, we have been going back and forth trying to get everything perfect. He's got an extra special surprise in store soap-wise, and so with all the big stuff we've got planned, we wanted to make sure we did it just right. The problem is, when you're hundreds of miles away, sending materials back and forth is no easy process.
So we had two options: rush out the release of the shaving products as quickly as possible to meet our deadline, or make sure we have enough time to make the product as perfect as possible and the release as seamless as possible. Because we're both perfectionists of sorts, the easy choice was to wait until we were positive we could make this release exactly as special as we wanted to make it.
Thank you for understanding. This wasn't easy for us, but it is the right choice.
We sincerely believe that the wait will be worth it. The sandalwood scent of the Santal Auster shaving products is getting perfected to really shine in the soap base as well as our aftershave products (all sold in the domestic United States through Declaration Grooming, in Canada and worldwide through Top of the Chain and Canadian Blade Co) in a one-time release. Once it's gone its gone). I am putting together special packaging for my products, plus extra special packaging for the Santal Auster Parfum Extrait (building upon the sandalwood accord used in the shaving products by enhancing it with oud, opoponax, styrax, amyris, patchouli and castoreum), which you can see below.

The new Santal Auster Parfum Extrait (NOT the same scent as the shaving products, but enhanced with other precious oils) features the new Chatillon Lux Parfums line look. This style will be reflected throughout the packaging for the other products and is a celebration of the new, exciting opportunities I embrace as I make this my full-time career.
