A few of my brushes needed some knotting, one needed to have a knot taken out and replaced with another (one of my knots from my inventory collection), one did not have a knot one again I used one of my stored knots for Rudy to put into a handle from my collection. (I have a tendency to buy knots and handles independently of each other and just store them away) The third brush is a 20 something year old Morris & Forndran the knot had come out and I wanted to reglue it back in with the same original loft.

So, I asked Rudy (Rudy Vey) if he would do the work for me, to which he said yes. Rudy is the only one I would trust with doing any work on my brushes. I know he understands the different handle materials and knots. In my years with Rudy, I have learned how very meticulous he is where mishaps are almost nonexistent (although mishaps do happen beyond anyone’s control) with Rudy it’s rare that a misshape will occur because of his knowledge and vast experience). Rudy will always ask questions about the item and work with me in giving me the best results. May Rudy live forever.

Some high stepping there.

Coincidentally, today encountered a ballet dancer from NYC who was in a troupe an ex girlfriend danced. Guy looked like a model but built like a cover corner back. Stud.

Anyway, second your admiration of Rudy and his work. Very few artisans have gone the extra mile for me over the years. But Rudy stepped up immediately in a dire situation. Good man all around and highly recommended.

And many more from Rudy!

I just wanted to point out that his PJ is phenomenal and the bottom two he designed that handle for a group buy and it just works great for bowl lathering.

Rudy is always to be congradulated for his Persian. Beautifull handle with a shavemac knot (this knot does not feel chemically treated no slim feel during the shave and the cleaning after) The other thing I like about this knot is the depature from high density/overly stuff knot to the classical knot with moderate backbone at a 50 loft. As far as it's name sake I don't believe the Persian's had much use for shaving except for cleaning up around their beards.

As much as Rudy’s brushes are exquisite, Rudy is an even better gentleman. I only have two of his brushes, but I’m always impressed by his patience and his generosity in sharing his experience and knowledge so that you get exactly the brush you want and his prices are more than fair. Rudy is awesome!

I know of many instances where Rudy has helped others proactively, including me; love Rudy
