I know, I know, hehehe!  I guess it kind of freaked me out the first time.  I play guitar and is my amateur hobby, so my hands are very important to me.Smile

Me too! That's why I snap the blades with my teeth.

Lol.....

I don't think its the action of snapping them in half that I didn't like, as I said it's not "hard".  But then you're left with half a DE razor blade that you either have to store or not use and toss.  As a guy who shares a bathroom with my young sons I didn't like having an unwrapped DE blade laying around.  For a while I would put the halves in a jar and then it became a royal pain to fish them out when I needed them.  So, ordering halves became an easier solution.  Then I have the half I need and I don't need to separately store them safely somewhere in a "jar" as they are in the package already.

You can use a small match box and store in the top of you medicine cabinet to put the halves in or a small magnet up high, out of sight and reach to stick them to until you need them.

Nice write up on the razor and thank you for that. Do not forget the side edges of the blade can also be snapped out with your finger and it's very easy, this way you have more clean cut look of the razor. Just look up on YouTube video on how to install blade to the Rocnel and you will see it's easy to snap off the side edges of the blade right after installing the half Smile

Thanks. As long as it doesn't bother the shave, the less manipulation the better. But I'm going to watch it so at least I know how to do it.

Hector (hrfdez), I'm glad to see that you got it and that we now have another DFS member to review this razor. Hopefully there will be a few other DFS members to get a Rocnel soon.

Thanks, lol.....Yes, the gap is great and no blade wave at all. This razor was well thought-out IMO.
