Rocnel SE Razor / DE Blade

To the razor.  Blade installation is easy and you will find no blade movement throughout the shave, none.  Nice weight to it and it glides very nicely.  No pressure needed on this puppy.  Not aggressive, but not a weak link either.

The shave:  I only do two passes and this razor didn't disappoint.  Very nice close shave with zero irritation.

The side edge exposure is of no consequence.  No interference with the shave, not even under the nose.  I'm sure it will be an eyesore for the "purists", but, no worries, it won't bite you.   Zero blade wave!

This is definitely a unique and fantastic razor, and yes, is my opinion, don't like it?  Don't read it.  I can see why they had over 4K orders.  Nice concept, my congratulations to Murat.


Is this the one from Turkey where you have to snap a DE blade in half and use it? Looks pretty good for a 25.00 razor. Is this a prototype or is this what the final production looks like? As long as the blade edges that protrude can't possible cut one's self it wouldn't be an issue to me at that price point. Under 40.00 price point deserves those type of expectations and realities and it sounds like this razor meets those and it looks well for the price too. I will say that if my aforementioned blade question is in the affirmative that might be a turn off to me but at 25.00 I would probably buy one simply on price alone. One of the things I hated about shavettes before straights was having to monkey snapping DE blades in half. Yes I know it's not hard and yes I know they sell "half blades" but, it was still annoying at times. Thanks for your insights this was helpful.

Yes.  I believe is the final product.  I had no issues with the edges, they didn't come close to touch my face.  Trust me, I was dreading snapping that blade, but it was quick and thankfully, uneventful, lol.....

Same here. If it goes by the date and time one places an order (which certainly seems fair to me) then I probably won't hear for a while.

I ordered mine from PAA they had three brands in the half blade Shark, Derby, and I think the other one was permasharp if memory serves me right.

I know, I know, hehehe! I guess it kind of freaked me out the first time. I play guitar and is my amateur hobby, so my hands are very important to me.

I don't think its the action of snapping them in half that I didn't like, as I said it's not "hard". But then you're left with half a DE razor blade that you either have to store or not use and toss. As a guy who shares a bathroom with my young sons I didn't like having an unwrapped DE blade laying around. For a while I would put the halves in a jar and then it became a royal pain to fish them out when I needed them. So, ordering halves became an easier solution. Then I have the half I need and I don't need to separately store them safely somewhere in a "jar" as they are in the package already.
