My gut says you'll probably get the same response. So, I guess I'm just confused as to what you're wanting him to say.

(I know I'm needling you a bit, but I'm trying to use it as a learning experience as well.)

If it was me, I would just want the truth.

But why waste anymore time. If you can't get the truth the first or second time ("reservations", "free razors"), I wouldn't expect anymore honesty in person.

At this point, it just needs to be exposed for what it is. And maybe that's the point.

Hehe andrewjs18 to the rescue Smile.

By the way, I think the Q&A is a brilliant idea. Whatever the problems, a manufacturer making himself available for questions/discussion is the first step towards improving a brand. Some vendors/artisans are unable or unwilling to communicate, which only worsens any issues.

I don't quite understand the level of disdain and aggression towards a small merchant when they're not forcing anyone to buy their products.  if I don't like the business practices a merchant has to offer, I'll simply move on and take my money with me.

we're not going to allow personal attack on this forum. please leave that to some other venue...

I think in this case, if people has not gone through the whole thing like I and some others did, it is kind of hard to understand.  I agree is just a business model. And like I mentioned before, the process was long, but it was taken care of with the highest level of apologies. That was good enough for me.

but that's what a kickstarter is. when you drop your money in their bucket, you know there's going to be a delay from the time you send them your money to the time you receive the product. Gareth made sure he righted his wrongs after his first released razor was a flop. I don't think a lot of small companies do this.

basically, if someone isn't comfortable with the whole kickstarter process, then don't get involved with it.

There have been plenty of times where I've received some down right hateful e-mails/messages that stemmed from someones disagreement with the way I operate. And it's not that I'm operating in any questionable manner. It's that I'm operating in a way that doesn't best suit that person specifically. I know I'm not the only one, either. I guess I just don't understand where people are coming from when they do that.

* That's not to imply that was the case in this instance (unless I missed the part where StephenG threatened to launch a smear campaign because he wasn't given any free samples with his order).

But this ain't Kickstarter anymore andrewjs18, even though it is still acting like Kickstarter, while pretending otherwise.

This is perhaps why other forums ban discussion of "vaporware". I am happy discussion is allowed of it here, but I also think discussion should be allowed of their failures, miscommunications, and bending of the truth. Discussing, and pointing out these facts don't equate to personal attacks. It equals: buyer beware of these things.

And that can only benefit everyone, including the seller.
