Well, they shipped the first 100 and Rockwell stated that shipping would be done in chronological order with those who backed the KS Campaign being priority. Then those who purchased via IGG will be secondary and perhaps are the ones that will get their razors my mid to late May. I capitulated and bought my Model T through IGG. So I'll be receiving mine on the late end.

Either way, it's great news that they are finally shipping out and reports/reviews should start to come in on all forums. Good times to be a wet shaver....

Bought through the kickstarter, and again not a peep

I know it's been a long time coming, but just a little bit longer. I assume they are getting them in batches of a hundred or perhaps more and just finalize assembly, q/c, packaging and out the door. Hopefully you'll be contacted soon via email with shipping info....

I was also a KS backer and dare I say one of the first ones because at the time I was so thrilled with the 6S I had to get the T too. I bet I'm going to be the last backer in Europe to get it based on my luck.

I too bought my Model T through IGG
I won't be back in home until the end of April.
I'm hoping that it will be there to greet me

New update from Rockwell, T's are shipping to KS backers and the price remains the same until the end of April. From may 1st, it will go up to $195.
Now is the time to get it if you didn't back it or backed out, as we know from the one review so far (unless I missed any) that it's a great razor. It really begs to buy some and sell them for profit.

Almost $200! That's up there for more exotic metals like stainless, brass etc. That's a big gamble on Rockwell's part....   Confused2

March Update - Shipping Continues & Price Increase
Dear Backers,

We’re thrilled to announce that the Model T has started to be received by backers, and the reviews are rolling in - it’s official, the Model T is a hit! Here’s an excerpt from one of the reviews:

The Razor itself feels fantastic to hold – a bit heavier than my 6C, with a longer handle. [...] I popped in a blade and played around a bit with the settings and you could visibly see the blade gap closing in and opening up as I adjusted between 1 to 6. [...] Just had my first shave with the Model T and Rockwell blades. Have to say, I’m totally convinced. Started off on the 1 setting and it was very smooth. Barely felt like there was any blade contact with my skin, but it still passed through my hair much more efficiently than the #1 plate on my 6C. [...] Already looking forward to my next shave.

You can read the full review on Reddit here! We’ll be including even more reviews in next month’s update once even more Model T razors have been shipped out and received. If you’ve received your razor already and want to pass along your feedback, please feel free to do so in the comments below!

Shipping Progress

We’re continuing to ship through April, so keep an eye for that email requesting any last-minute address changes!

Pricing Update

This is the announcement we’ve most been looking forward to making. We really appreciate the patience and support our backers have shown over the past 2 years of this project. Many of you are aware of the challenges we at Rockwell Razors faced bringing the first adjustable twist-to-open in decades to market. We’re extremely proud to be the first company to bring an adjustable twist-to-open razor to market that isn’t a multimillion dollar corporation with an extensive team of full-time engineers and their own production facilities. That being said, it’s come to our attention over the process of manufacturing and assembling the Rockwell Model T that we drastically underestimated the costs required to complete each Model T unit. Of course, we're standing by our backers’ pledges between $79 and $99 for a Model T razor, 100 Rockwell Blades, a Rockwell Blade Safe, and a Rockwell Leather Sheath. However, the pre-order price and regular retail price for just the Model T, effective May 1st, will be $195. That means that you, our backers, will be getting $214 of value for just your pledge of between $79 and $99. We can’t think of a better way to say thank you for all your patience, and we hope this helps make the short remaining wait a little more bearable!

It’s also worth pointing out - if you have any friends who are still waiting to pre-order their Rockwell Model T, they have until April 31 to reserve their razor at the current price at rockwellrazors.com - after that, the price doubles!

~~~
We're looking forward to updating you with our shipping progress in the April update, and please don't hesitate to reach out to info@rockwellrazors.com with any questions in the meantime!
Sincerely,
Gareth
I'm still glad I didn't bail out from the Kickstarter 2 years ago, man!! what a painfully long wait for the Rockwell Model T
HURRY UP!!! I've waited long enough for 2 years scratching my bare butt
Once you get past $150, that’s Tier1 territory. And once you break the $200 zone, that’s Elite class for me. I don’t mind spending the $$$ for Tier1 and Elite status razors, but for a razor that does not share the upper class in metals such as stainless, brass, copper etc. in the far majority of it’s construction (at least 95%) it’s a tough pill to swallow to fork out $195 for brass, stainless internals and Zamak TTO assembly. I buckled at the very last second 2 weeks ago and purchased one through IGG after canceling last year and receiving a refund. Glad I did. $99 sounds like a bargain now, or at least until April 31. I hope they truly reconsider the decision to double up on the pricing for the Model T. I understand they have to make a profit, but I don’t know if this is the way to recoup costs on their R&D, prototyping then finalization for a product that they promised for a specific price point. They’re honoring their backers, but then try to gouge the rest of the wet shaving consumer public for their shortsightedness on potential costs mark ups, testing and the whole enchilada. Talk about screwing the pooch.
Jump on them while you can. $99 up until the 31st Gents. You snooze you lose........
I really don't know what to think of it. Are they trying to get back all the backers that were refunded because of the long wait and then announce the $195 was an April fools joke? For about this price, most SS razors can be had. This has Zamak doors (although I've read somewhere that Zamak today is not what it used to be. There are strict specifications on it, which may or may not make it a durable metal). A Fat Boy 1-95 can be had for much less and probably shave similarly. An all SS REX can be had for a bit more but comes with a slim head that is unsurpassed around the nose area and also based on one of the best designs ever. I'm really baffled. If at this price it came with 100 Personna tungsten 74 blades, I could then understand the asking price, but from the reviews, I have never even bothered trying the Rockwell DE blades it's coming with.
Come on get real Rockwell, the Rex is a great razor and it’s SS CNC machined! No way I’ll buy a Zamak razor for that kind of money
