I'm kind of confuse, maybe you gents can help me out.  I got a notification that my replacement has been shipped, perfect.

But, I got an email, stating that I'm getting a unit that's not perfect and that I'm a beta tester.  With all do respect, but why in the world I want a second razor that is not the final product?  So now instead of one bad razor, I'm going to own two.  I have to laugh about it because I really want to cry.  But, on the bright side, I'll get to order another for free, but once the good ones are out, lol......Ill probably give the voucher to a friend, my experiment with this razor is over.

Have you guys got this information?  I have the emails, but I won't post them, not my style.  I just don't understand why ship something that doesn't meet the Quality Control standards, just to get rid of them.

It seems you are better off waiting for the second pre-order.  According to them, this pre-order was still flawed, so now they are sending them out as Beta Testing, trust me I got the email and was very disappointed.

Mine shipped, what appears to be a second flawed 6S.  I am sure they meant well, but two duds in a row is not what I was looking for.

Got a nice email from Gareth reaching out and explaining a bit better what is going on. I'm satisfied with the explanation.

Thanks to whomever forward him my concerns.

hrfdez You're welcome Smile

And no, I'm not the same Gareth from Rockwell, we just both have really awesome names Cool
Gareth and I chat fairly frequently and he's been excellent at keeping me up to date with the releases, and it looks like the "real" release has been pushed back again unfortunately. I believe Rockwell is being extra cautious on this release because of what happened last time.

We all have to remember: The delays are far more inconvenient for Rockwell than they are for us.

The incompetence displayed is just incredible....

Here you go:

Just got in the new improved Rockwell 6S after pre-order in November. No longer on Kickstarter the company is on their own. I never had the original version and loads of complaints about fit and finish. Well apparently all that has changed since they decided to go sintering instead of straight machining. The entire razor set with stand and all comes in with a nice matte finish without any flaws that I can detect. The razor weighs in at a hefty 119 grams and is 95 mm long with perfect grip and balance. Here is what you get for your money. (note: razor stand is optional)
3 bottom plates that are reversible
R1 & R3 mild
R2 & R4 medium
R5 & R6 aggressive

1 top plate
1 handle
1 razor stand (6.4 oz)
1 metal case

I started backwards that is using the most aggressive bottom plate R6 and doing only one pass since I shaved this morning. I inserted a new Rockwell Swedish blade and got an excellent very smooth shave considering the blade is really exposed but it won't hurt you. I will compare the aggressiveness to the R41 (2013) but much smoother. Tomorrow morning I will using the R5 plate, etc until I go through all the plates. A quick analysis I am really like what Rockwell did to greatly improve their razor. Total cost with UPS Express shipping from Canada for under $100.

Are they in Canada? And is that $100US or CAD?

Either way, they look like they are greatly improving.

All evidence has been buried, all tapes have been erased.

Shipped UPS Express from Toronto to Florida 100usd. I paid extra for the Express shipping and glad I did as if I used standard it would be caught up in Customs and wouldn't get it until after XMAS.
