May be in for a group buy if the price is right.

It’s a goal but ultimately it’s dependent on my manufacturing cost. The shop I’m working with is just now breaking even on the investment into tooling. Every production run inevitably has a reject % - it was high at first and has gotten significantly less each run. I think I can negotiate a lower cost in a few months after it’s been smooth sailing for the shop and the owner knows he won’t loose his shirt!

In the meantime make sure to sign up for our monthly newsletter - we always include a storewide coupon code Wink

Thx

Matt

I would be more than happy to offer a bulk / group buy - I think the numbers could be right starting at a quantity of 25.

How would we go about setting this up / gauging interest?

Thanks!

Matt

I think admin will not have an issue if you open new thread saying " Interest check for Rex Ambassador group buy". Whoever has interest in joining would post in a reply I'm in. You let it run for lets say 2-4 weeks and the more people join the merrier for the buyer and for you too. Once when the interest check is done and you have the correct numbers you post and ask if someone wants to bail out or its a last call in case someone else wants to jump on it. Once when is all said and done, either we send you out PP addresses and you send us invoice or we pay you via goods. I think you sending invoices is more professional IMHO.

When you have free time sit down and crunch the numbers with the machining shop and post them here, me personally I love group buys. BTW when interest check is open I'm joining and I suggest even if the 1st tier is not that appealing price wise I urge people to join because the more we join the merrier, after all it is an interest check to start with.

EDIT: Google spread sheets as I remember was the favorite tool for all the peeps that were running interest checks and group buys

Same here.... I would be interested if the group buy offered a nice discount (that said, I've never participated in a group buy so I'm uncertain as to whether that's standard practice for group buys). But for me personally, the price would significantly dictate my participation if there was a group buy for the Rex. I certainly look forward to hearing more about this!

I'm heading out for vacation tomorrow morning but wanted to briefly mention that I'm fine with Razor Emporium setting up a group buy on DFS. Keep in mind though, DFS is NOT responsible for anything that may happen during the group buy..that'll be between you and Matt.

I would also like to add my thanks to Matt( Razor Emporium ) for his transparency in this thread about the REX project. And, I say "project" with all due respect! This could not have been an easy undertaking. Good stuff, Matt! Thank you for sharing what must be some of your most personal thoughts and experiences with this razor.

Thanks for the detailed update on the Rex!

I'd be interested in a group buy as well.

I recently put in my order because of my conversations with Matt and others. I am confident that I will be very satisfied with the new razor and I look forward to getting it and shaving with it.

Matt, thank you for being so attentive to me and your dedication to producing such a fine razor. I look forward to doing more business with you.
