I assumed that to mean that people could still join the group buy until the 17th. But since we are at maximum discount it doesn't seem necessary to wait until then to process the orders of those that are willing, unless there is a logistical issue that Matt needs to work out.

May be this will help Matt to ascertain the exact count by then. Also it would be more smoother a transaction to ship everyone's razor at the same time once the list has been frozen.

Thank you for the clarification Matt, and this amazing opportunity!

I was having a PM with a member about the number of Parts on this razor.

I understand that many people feel this razor is expensive. And yes $250 is a lot for a razor (hence the group buy!)

But also please keep in mind that there are 8 machined parts and 2 springs needed to make this work.

Each one is made on a CNC lathe or mill. We are not doing any casting or metal injection molding or forging. Perhaps we will look Into some of these technologies down the road to bring cost down.

But for those interested here is an exploded view of the Ambassador. Please excuse the stains on my work mat.

So now that we are at maximum discount, can we process our orders ? Or do we have to wait until the 17th ?

Matt Razor Emporium stated in an earlier post that it will continue for the 3 full weeks, that is until the 17th of May. Refer to post #134.

That I can't answer my friend. Maybe perhaps to allow manufacturing/qc or perhaps to give time to those that pledged to have those funds available? I don't have an issue with waiting until the pledge date is made. I mean it's only 2 weeks and 2 days away from finalizing. That's just me though.....

Pretty sure it's the C shaped thing more of a spring clip, if you count the parts there is 10

Yes. That clip is made the same way a spring is. It is spring steel that is formed and heat treated. Also made of stainless.
