Review - La Savonniere Du Moulin

No it's not the hardness of the soap, it's the mere aesthetics of rubbing a puck all over my face. I know myself and I know that this would somehow bother me. Ironically, I do just fine with a shave stick (exactly the same formula) that is made for this purpose.

You can tell that I'm the type that follows instruction manuals to the letter :p.

Has anyone tried using the puck as a shave-stick as it seems to be a great solid consistency for that exact purpose?

I grated mine and put it into into a stick and I love it.Also,as has been mentioned the A.S. is just awesome---great,great face feel---sorry you couldn't use it Celestino.

I put my puck into an vintage Old Spice mug. Fits perfectly!

This soap shot right up to the top of my wish list! I'm considering getting the Tempete wood version? perhaps I could lather in that?

Great shaving soap, almost my personal number 1, but the Nuavia brothers are a tad bit better IMHO.

I have this soap in its travel packaging version (stick). This stick is a very convenient alternative to the puck, may you travel or not. This is a great option for face lathering and its lathering up very easily. I do like very much the softness, creamy texture of the lather and its subtle / fresh scent but I was quite disappointed by the glide. While experimenting this soap for the first time, I found the glide being rather poor. I have to give it a second try. The AS is top-notch. Amazing moisturizer and soother for all day long, from the morning of your shave up to the end of the afternoon. Only a small amount of balm is necessary. But I don't like its scent at all. Quite special.
