Let me know where I can buy 2 Wolfies for $745.   I'll buy them in a heartbeat.  Just don't point me to James' site; I tried for 2 years with no luck.  If you say this price is for one on the aftermarket then I believe.

At the same time I had my RS-10 like any other piece of hardware, from the source or retailers.  I’m sure you are aware of prices for BBS-1, 17-4, Weber, etc.  Let’s compare and put those in the bag too.  Now we are talking …

There was one of reddit today for $220 Smile

gregcss correct Greg. My ballpark figures were off the mark.

The seller on Reddit sold for original retail price and did not realize the prices had gone up in the past two years. I don't think we will see many more wolfman at those prices anytime soon.

Please dont take this as being antagonistic. Just putting math into the "price in line with others" comments I have seen.

Listing the prices for the "cheapest" variations of said razors is comparing apples to oranges, sir. If you're taking Timeless' top of the line components (polished, scalloped top cap and OC baseplate) then you're paying already $250 for the razor itself and another $110 for the extra baseplate. If you're going Ti, it's $370 total.

A polished Blackbird with both baseplates is $320.

So, pretty much in line with the price for the RS10 with both plates, ain't it? Wink

And as for the comparison to ATT - let me tell you, an ATT, in every single aspect, is nowhere near the quality of a Raw razor.

Not really because I can buy a polished blackbird for $230 while the RS-10 is $95 more and the RS-18 $145 more.

It's simple. If you don't like RS-10 don't buy it. I guess you can't now, unless you spend more than the $95 difference, because the price will only go up on secondary market. I can tell you are comparing apples to oranges again, because RS-10 is on another league, but the way you view things you will never find out.

Can we move on from this price difference talk? I don’t see the point behind it all.
If you don’t want to spend the $ then good for you. This is the same debate about high end watches...some are 4-5k and some are 100k+ it depends on so many factors.
The RS10 is expensive and there is a reason for that and it’s a great razor ( best I have used).
If cost scares you then no worries because it’s not available anymore.
For those who have one they understand why it’s so good, and for those who don’t have one I feel sorry for you

Can we start a Raw shaving appreciation thread?
