Thanks for the information. Very helpful and it gave me pause.

So I went back to my stash, pulled out one pack from each lot, compared them all and pulled out what appeared to be a slight variation from the others (darker ink with some slight bleeding). So popped it into the trusty blackbird, and did my thing. The results were the same as the others. So based on my experience, I am now of two minds. Either I will run down the Russians for poor quality assurance, since the lots slightly differ (possibly from the ink stamp being refreshed, making the lots look different), or I will praise the Chinese for reproducing excellent blades (and iPads, and iPods , and Macs among many things)! Furthermore the Russians need to be concerned about Chinese incursions into Bulgaria...

All joking aside, thanks for raising this issue and a reminder to all of us to pay attention to those things.

The difference between the fake and legit polsilver can be seen in reviewing the y on the outside of the box. There was a discussion on BB with photos etc. I provided the legit ones that I got direct from DCC.

Be aware that the fakes were in what most call the legit sellers. West coast was one but I know several others were mentioned. Seems a distributor or someone like that got them in their stock.

If someone more computer knowledgeable can copy photos I am sure it would assist all.

someone sent me a few tucks of the fake polsilver SI blades (I believe that's what they are) a while ago. we both knew they were fakes so there wasn't any funky business going on there.

I'll have to see if I can dig them out to take some photos.

For some reason I find these blades harsh at times (just like today).. Sometimes it makes me think if what I got are fakes, but visually they check out.

I just ordered 800 from Gemstone trading. I'm set for a long while.

Good luck to those who use this blade.
Personally, I don't get on with it, at all, and I am fortunate enough to have enough of my favourite blade, Wizamet Iridium Super.
Even though folks say these two blades are the same, my skin definitely perceives a stark difference. Shy

PolSilver "Super Iridium" Blades Being Discontinued

This is truly sad news.Angry I had ordered 400 Polsilver blades last week and just ordered an additional 900 to make sure I never run out of my favorite blade.

Just bought another 200 at Shaving.ie. This brings my total up to about 600. Together with my other favorites, it is more than I will ever need.
Cheers,
