Len, would it be possible to add a poll to this thread regarding interest in seeing classic shaving go mainstream? Something like.....1) I would like to see classic shaving grow and become mainstream 2) I would like classic shaving to remain a niche community for hobbyists or 3) Don't care either way

Just checked, I can't add a poll to this thread after it has already been created. Maybe a mod or admin can add one on, and I'd be fine with that.

Otherwise, a new thread would have to be created for that purpose.

if you do a full edit on your OP (it has to be done from the OP), click on 'extra post options' below the main text area, do you have the ability to add a poll?

"Do you want more men to experience the pleasure, satisfaction, and closeness in shaving that you do?" Yes/No

"Do you want your favorite artisans and shaving companies to succeed and grow, or suffer and go out of business?" Yes/No

"Do you want even better quality shaving products, with innovative technology in the future you never dreamed possible?" Yes/No

You have to ask yourself those questions as well if you want the hobby to stay niche, or if you don't care.

They are not in the same category as when you stopped beating your wife, as that question is one in which may not exist in the first place.  And if you don't want to talk about the positives of wet shaving, why are you, or any of us here?

If you get the same quality and closeness by shaving with a cart, I'm happy for you, but I don't. And every man I've talked to that shaves with a cart, says its convenient, but they don't like it. This tells me there is room for improvement in the industry, whether you want that or not.

I looked at the extra post options in the OP for a thread that I created, and I don't see the ability to add a poll....

I can't see any reason this wouldn't be shown...the group permissions are correct and this forum section in particular has the ability to add polls to threads.

I just moved a test account into the same user group that everyone is in (aside from merchants, mods & admins), created a thread in this section, posted it, and then did a full edit (it has to be a full edit on the OP) and saw the poll options in the 'extra post options' area:

This is all I see. Maybe the option to post a poll expires after some period?

andrewjs18, I have attempted a full edit in the OP in the same manner you suggest a couple times now, and every option that you pictured is there except the poll. I see it if I attempt to create a new thread, but in trying to full edit the OP, no dice.

Len & shevek, I've split this discussion here so we don't derail the other thread.

Thanks! And interestingly, If i do a Full Edit on the OP in this thread, I do see the option to add a poll.
