Mine arrived this morning with Feather blades. Shaved with the razor and used a Feather blade which I usually try to avoid. Yes they are the sharpest but they also leave weapers because they shave so close even in the mildest of razors like my favorite, the AS-D2. Perfect blade alignment and tight tolerances with no wiggle. That's how my razor is. And I made a 1st pass on setting 3. A very audible scraping toast sound. No cuts but more than a couple of weapers. Then dialed down to 1.5 and the second pass was plenty audible but much smoother. The resulting shave with no buffing or J hooking was incredibly close. A little Alum and the weepers closed. AS for the razor I could find no fault. The Chrome finish is perfect, the doors and everything that moves have very close tolerances. Much closer than any other adjustable I've used or have, including all the Gillette models. The adjustment ring is very smooth and has no slop. And the weight is heavy with a long handle and a nice balance. Unlike other heavy razors the head is not a clunky thick affair. All in all I think I got a razor far better than I expected to get and I am pleased as punch! I know that with a blade of choice that I like the result will be very nice. Hopefully not as close as with a Feather and with no weapers. The comments so far that I have read indicate some problem with rinsing? I don't see it as I think the razor rinsed easier for me than with any other razor I have used? So, IMHO I think this razor is a well designed and close tolerance razor and a bargain for the price. I think if I never had anything but my favorite AS-D2 razor and the Shave adjustable I would be a happy camper! I can only imagine how aggressive this adjustable would be on the higher settings? I cringe at the thought!!!! I suppose I should state YMMV, but I really don't want to.

oldie, I have a very similar impression of the Parthenon. I had a bad weeper on setting 5 with a 1st-use Feather blade and that came on my WTG pass. After that, I notched it down to setting 3. It took a few days for the weeper to heal and today was the first day I used the Parthenon since last week. I loaded a Gillette Silver Blue this morning and kept it on setting 3. The WTG and ATG passes were amazing - definitely some blade feel but those two passes left me nice and smooth. I went ahead and tried the ATG pass and that's when things got "messy" including several weepers. Afterwards, I applied the alum block and it was probably the worst burn I have felt from a shave but it only last about 5 to 10 seconds. The great thing about this razor is that nine hours later and I'm only feeling minor patches of stubble on the neck and upper lip. It has only been two shaves but initial impressions are good. Next time i'll try the 1.5 setting...at least on the ATG pass Smile

Feels pretty good. Nicely balanced with a solid feel. Not feeling as substantial as a Fatboy or Slim as some have stated in other forums I would have to respectfully disagree, as in my hands it feels slightly heavier and robust. Not Brass General or SS like, but it has some grams on it. It does feel a bit slimmer than the FB and Slim, but it has a much longer handle, a la the Black Beauty/Super 109.The movement is very nice and smooth on the TTO doors and the adjustment dial works as it should without a single issue. Blade alignment was spot on from both sides with equal amounts of exposure/reveal as well.

Got a nice shave in with going from 6,4 and 3 on the adjuster. Good audible feedback on all passes with each of the three settings. The Feather blade felt just a bit rougher on setting 6 on the first pass not unsettling but, once I dialed it down to 4 and 3 on each subsequent pass, it was actually quite smooth and comfortable. Getting the angle only took me a couple of strokes, but once I found it, smooth sailing from there. Just one shave in, but not to shabby. Will get in a full weeks worth of shaves before I make a final assessment and on how it compares to the more “well known” adjustables.

Pretty nice packaging and effort. Nicely thought out and presented by QShave.....

Nice write up. I initially backed this razor and changed my mind in the last day or so of the campaign. I just couldn't will myself to purchase another razor. I'm glad to see it is a fairly good razor.

Thanks. I went for the 2nd upgrade option “Premium Package” for $69.99. But, I’ll be honest as it gave me a pretty good shave. Build quality is actually quite good and it shaved well. I’ll put it through it’s paces and see what happens the rest of the week.....

I have used mine a few times for my head shaves and it does a very adequate job. I did mildly experience issues with rinsing the soap from the razor head a few times. I actually had to open the butterfly doors to rinse the soap out. Besides this, I find the razor a very good deal for the price. It is quite substantial in weight and quite aggressive on setting 9.
I had to use it on setting 1 for my head shaves.

My only, "Complaint," really and it isn't a big deal to me. I will say I wasn't even being careful with it on setting 5 and got a couple small weepers. I slowed down and it was fine. It really is aggressive on 9 though. Great deal for $49 with the 50 feather blades IMO.

I went to the Qshave website. They say they ship worldwide. But they don’t ship to Canada.....hilarious! Then that’s not worldwide shipping.

They definitely ship to Canada, I was one of the first people to receive a Parthenon from the kickstarter and it showed up by Canada Post

I believe what gLet is saying is that when he places the razor in his cart and tries to check out, the first drop down box tells you to select your country, and Canada is not under the top portion with the most popular countries, nor is is listed under "C". I just tried ordering using a friend's BC address.
