Paradigm never stated that the Ti-1 was limited to 50 razors and would not be produced anymore. He mentioned in 2017 that, through the initial or first run, 50 razors were made available.

He also made posts to inform people that more razors might become available for special releases later on.

Releasing previous versions has nothing related with protecting or respecting the first customers.

I am interested in seeing new releases, but I have no issue with his decision to release previous versions.

I completely disagree. Why shouldn’t other people get to experience the same joy. Why be so greedy and selfish. For example, ie it’s like Michael Jordan shoes- by your reasoning- they shouldn’t let the newer generation experIence the same joy of the re-releases of some of Michaels early Nike MJ’s.

That’s why I give so much respect for brands like Blackland re-releasing the Tradere SB & Oc. In my opinion it is good for wetshaving to share the heritage and history.

Well, I respect your opinion but you're being very impolite calling other member greedy and selfish just for expressing an opinion.

I see it as impolite to basically say Andrew is disrespecting original buyers when it was stated more would be made. Works both ways....

What you have done is to put words in @"newrfb" 's mouth that are not accurate and then attack him for your words.  He did not say that "...Andrew is disrespecting original buyers...", basically or otherwise.  What he actually said is:  "Those who purchased Ti-1s are Paradigm's precious first customers and they deserve to be respected and protected."   This is quite different from the straw man you have set up.

I disagree with you. He's saying no more should be made in order to respect and protect original buyers. So if Andrew does make more (which he stated he would in the future) the insinuation is he's disrespecting them. I see no other way to interpret that but you're entitled to your opinion. Bottom line, Andrew stated more would or could be made right on his website so this shouldn't even be being questioned.

You conveniently left off his words.

The only guys pissed about a re-release are the guys that paid secondary market prices. I get it. I like the idea of collectors items that maintain, or increase, in value. The best way to foster that is to limit production and serialize an item.

I've never tried a Paradigm razor but it should be in the original brushed finish IMO. I'd even consider buying the just the handle.

One of the reasons for not trying any of them was the switch to polished after the Ti1. Would be very interested in a brushed SE, I believe someone actually changed the finish on theirs to satin afterwards and honestly it looked better. I remember reading that the polishing actually made the SE less efficient.

And please make a new razor that takes GEM blades!
