Got it, shaved with it, loved it.

I didn’t actually read anything related to the razor and what it compared too since everything shaving is “relative.”

It’s a keeper for me and I’m possibly moving some razors along since I only keep the elite of the elite.   Price is not the determining factor for elite but rather the shave it provides.  The only thing I can say about the razor is this, there are some razors that gradually reduce the fuzz on your face, sliding you into a BBS by the last pass.  Then you come across the MUhle R41, which tells you after the first and second pass, that everything else is a touch up.  For me, the Diamondback is such a razor.

If there is a minor knock, it would be the “polish.”  There is not much of one.  I would hate to see what it was going to look like without one.  It has a machine finish just like my Rocnel, you can’t see your reflection in the finish.  That knock is on expectation rather than speaking to the actual razor.  WCS said polished, I got Matt.

I’m keeping it though.

The blade in the razor was a Polsilver with two shaves on it.

Good to hear this review. Mine is out for delivery today so I will shave with it tomorrow with a fresh Feather blade. If the finish is anywhere near the brushed finish of the Rocnel Elite, I’m good. My preference is brushed instead of polished anyway. WCS should have just left that one out of their marketing announcements and have people pleasantly surprised by an “almost” polish.

Just grabbed mine from the office and I have no problem with the finish. I do have 2 very small marks on the top of my top cap that I may have WCS address. I will be shaving tomorrow morning or evening with it so stay tuned. I think mine are 2 small scratches. I am going to shave with it tomorrow and then send it back. WCS just sent me a shipping label to ship it back.

Definitely! I will either shave with it tomorrow morning or evening and then send it back Monday to get the spots off. Really disappointed since we all have been waiting for a while for these. I am home now and tried to get the spots out with a polishing rag with no luck. This has been an interesting release and I don’t remember Phil at Bullgoose having any quality control issues with his Paradigm releases.

My understanding is that WCS was bought out by a larger company. Bullgoose is a small company, so I would imagine Phil is more hands on and making sure things go smoothly.

Well, Paradigm is the one that should be hands on!!
Sorry, I had a bad experience with the company so I am not neutral but, IMO, these are top dollar razors from a small scale designer, so ...
