They seriously just copied and pasted the text from an update on 9/27 into a new email after modifying the date projections?

Ok, my first shave with the Diamondback was outstanding! I used a once used Feather blade and went to work on 3 days growth. I did my usual 2.5 pass shave (WTG, ATG, XTG) and came out with an extremely close BBS result. The razor is definitely smooth with a nice amount of feedback. I think it’s just under my Raw Shaving RS-10 for smoothness but more efficient. I put the efficiency just under my Wolfman WR2 1.25 SB side. This is just my opinion folks and I will be comparing it going forward with more of my higher end razors. I never owned the Titanium 1 so have no idea how that one shaves. I had a 17-4 but sold it because of handle issues. From what I remember about my limited use of the 17-4, the shave on this new one is smoother. I actually like the handle on this one but will probably swap it out for something slightly longer. I do love the balance of the entire razor with the Diamondback. I will keep this razor and it will be in the prominent section of my rotation.[Image: 44298171034ac5fb6fcd4ade2f0e3280.jpg]
Now, the issue I have is my purchase from WCS. The wait was long and when I opened my box a couple days ago, I noticed 2 small marks on the head of the razor. Since then, I have also noticed an area on the corner of the baseplate that was not filed down and buffed so I feel a jagged piece of metal. I am also not happy about having to ship the razor back to get these issues handled. That means waiting another week or so (hopefully) to continue usage. This is my first time purchasing a razor from WCS and my expectations were high because of the price of this razor and the stellar customer service I have received from another vendor that has rolled out Paradigm razors in the past. I’m not trying to bash anyone but the QC on this release was pretty bad as I have heard others having some “finish” issues.

The entire situation involving this razor does not “feel” like Andy/Paradigm at all.

I completely agree with that. I might reach out to him directly before sending it back to WCS.

Crap. Awesome review. Some of these razors, I am almost hoping for poor reviews so I have a reason not to lust for them.

Thanks for highlighting the QC issues. Sounds like a rush job to get the initial batches out. For those of us not in dire need, probably best to wait a bit for things to settle down.

I reached out to Andy this morning and he immediately responded! He is awesome and I have enjoyed doing business with him over the last few years and getting his input on his razors. Below is his response after I reached out.

I know it’s early but when possible can anyone compare efficiency to Charcoal Lvl2 OC & SB? Also if the situation permits can someone try and see if this handle will be a good fit in the WRA1 stand? Thanks

I had only two shaves with the DB before moving it on to another fellow shaver, but can say with a reasonable sense of certainty that (at least for me) the DB's efficiency falls somewhere in between the Lvl2 and Lvl3. It is more efficient than the Lvl2 for sure and slightly less aggressive than the Lvl3 with a very similar level of efficiency.

I agree with this comparison to CG. The Diamondback is right there with my stainless steel L3 as far as efficiency but a tad smoother with a Feather blade. I judge efficiency by how my face feels after the shave and by how much growth occurs the following day.

Is Ti1 more efficient than CG Lvl3?
