Yes, except that Phil has declared open war on Shavenook, where I have been banned. I have no other means of defending myself publicly. I only wish that this could have been settled privately.

I did way back when, after she left with our money. I did not mention the details concerning the suicide until yesterday, it's a subject I prefer to avoid. It's very weird to be airing it in public like this, but it's also important for people to understand what happened and why.

Im not a lawyer but Im wondering...if someone owes you money and they haven't paid,
can you just appropriate their design without going through some sort of process?
I would guess the rights to a razor like Paradigm 17-4 could be far more than 10 grand.

Thank you. It's been very difficult. The irony is that it is only by virtue of her life insurance proceeds that I myself am still kicking — and in a position to repay Phil, if that’s what he wants. This plan he's got to use my design on the 17-4 .... Not quite sure what to make of that.

Seriously? I suspect he's beyond pissed because you unilaterally decided to turn his down payment for goods into an interest-free loan; you then partnered with other companies to make razors in the meantime but made no effort to pay him back during that period; and now you're basically offering him one free razor for 2+ years of undeserved frustration.

I know you're trying to defend yourself, but he is the victim. It sounds like you've made things progressively worse every step of the way and haven't really accepted culpability, which is maybe why he's gone nuclear on your reputation. All things considered, he's been pretty patient.

All this pales in comparison to what the owner of Raw Shaving did though.
That took the biscuit for sheer brazenness.

I would still buy a more efficient Paradigm Razor design in Ti...though.
Their scrap is none of my business. If a shave shop tries any funny biz with me

I can actually answer that. As far as sorting out the facts ... it would take some kind of deviousness on my part to concoct a story like this. 

Self-help *is* a legitimate remedy, but it does not go as far as grabbing somebody else's IP. I would imagine it would be worth more than what is owed, too. But you know what? I have no intention of starting trouble over it. If Phil gets his money back and makes more in the process, I'm happy for him. He's waited long enough. He might have said something to me instead of going on a public crusade about it, but I can't control that.

First of all, my sincerest condolences on the loss of your wife. I am sure that must have been---and continue to be, devastating.

Regarding Phil being made whole, have you considered sending him $100/week? It would be a gesture of goodwill until you receive the insurance. My best guess is that the lack of communication fostered an atmosphere of animosity.
