There’s a point where the the gap is so large that razor design relies to a greater extent on the skill of the user. For example, where the safety bar becomes a fulcrum and the user adjusts the angle in real time, “riding the bar” so-to-speak. So the design process becomes a balancing act between what the razor does and what the shaver does, if you will.
