Alex…. Niro884 has the right to first refusal and then it’s fair game. Like I said above, there’s some sort of Black Magic Voodoo spell on the brush, lol. I’ve attempted to use it 5-6x and the unknown forces have prevented the brush from even getting wet with water! These aren’t ordinary occurrences either…… last time I was going to soak, phone rang and I was recalled to London immediately, prior to that I had to evac my hotel in Mexico, Earthquake, before that, Tornado Sirens…not the ordinary sirens either…first time ever, had to take shelter in the underground parking structure of my residence, I live in a high rise, we don’t get tornados in Chicago, yet the thing leveled everything in its path for 3 miles, Missed us by a half mile! I can’t publicly cite the other occurrences but after that many attempts to use the brush, writing might be on the wall lolololol.
In terms of aesthetics…… brush is one of the most unique Vesuvius pours I’ve ever seen. The front is clean, regal, not busy, the back side is opposite!
I love how stunning that handle came out!!! Curious how many brushes do you have and how do you plan your brush rotation out? For me I have been using one brush maker for an entire month and switch to another maker the next month. Right now my rotation is DG, TNS, Mozingo/Varlet, All Others. My last group "All Others" has Paladins, Trotter, Grizzly Bay, C&H, V&C, and SV
I shave about 2x a week unless some special holiday or date night! I shaved 97x total in 2022. I select a different brush for each shave. I have no set path, one day it’s a $7 Whipped Dog Boar, four days later it’s $700 Varlet. I generally go row by row, like a spice rack. No colour coordination, brand etc. I get a new one, I use it, and it goes to the back of the line. I’ve used a brush and soap kit out of the no set rotation. I don’t have much facial hair at all, but I like the fun gear!
How many brushes, whew. Because of work, I live in two different flats. Quantity: more than 20, less than 80, lol. I like flying by the seat of my pants. Many ppl colour coordinate their brushes with soap label colours, etc. All too much for me. 24 hours in a day… 8 hours to sleep, 8 hours to work and make some quid, 8 hours for me.
I keep an information card on each and every brush. Date of purchase, Price Paid, Artisan, Name of Brush if any, model, what kind of knot (hand tie, blonde badger, 2 band silver, finest, etc). Is handle Artisan different from knot Artisan. Example: Wolf Whiskers, Francisco Shape, Dark Nebula Colour, 26mm. Knot: 26mm Declaration B3.
I’m very OCD with a Pre-Owned brush. People are dirty, and I mean unclean, so there’s that. I want to know the history of your used brush. Are you first owner? Original Packaging? You’re not first owner, who is? Is he first owner? If I sell you a used brush, you get the info I have. I haven’t heard of many discrepancies however can YOU tell the difference between a B5 and a B6? How about a B8 and a B10? Lol. Yeah the B10 is an easy one, hahahahaha.
