Funny Melrose Park, Illinois is suburban town next to me like 7-10 mins. What's doing in Illinois? is it Rockwell made in Canada or ???

I believe the 6 S was made in the USA as well. By the way, my 2 c has now been stuck in Germany for 8 days and counting.

Same story with my shipment, it's somewhere in Germany. Do you think Trudeau could bring it back from Europe for me?

Trudeau came through for me. My razor was delivered today by Canada Post.

Mine might have been delivered but I won't know until I go up to the post office and pay $12.40 customs fees. Now to be fair this might be related to a couple of tubs of Route 66 soap I ordered a few weeks back and if thats the case, the DHL tracking shows my razor still in Frankfurt. So not impressed. Might be a Canadian company but obviously they're smart enough to know that the US market gets served and the rest of us can just..... wait. Did I mention I'm not impressed?

Oh oh. The first "bad" shave was today. Well, not horrid, just not a great post shave feel. I used a new Gillette Silver Blue and the R4 base plate. By the final passes on my neck, I noted a couple of nicks. And tingling at the rinse.  It has been a while since I felt like this, and I had to think on it. As I recalled, the GSB can give a "rough" first shave in my experience, except for my Tech. The GSB shines in the Tech.  For my other razors, I "strop" the new GSB on a face cloth a few times. I didn't today. Previously, all shaves with the Rockwell had been my favorite blade, the Red Personna blade.  I am hoping tomorrow goes better. But that is the fun, right, with a new razor? You have to try out blades in it too see which of your steel works best in the razor.

Still waiting for my razor to leave Germany. I sent an email to DHL. It's been several days and they have yet to respond. After enjoying my Rockwell 6 S for over a year and singing its praises, I now have a negative association with the Rockwell brand.

It just proves the old saying that "no good deed goes unpunished"! Rockwell decides to pay extra $$ to speed up delivery and then DHL totally screws up.

I'm not sure they paid "extra" for DHL delivery. I think they went with the cheapest option ... and got what they paid for!
