It just proves the old saying that "no good deed goes unpunished"! Rockwell decides to pay extra $$ to speed up delivery and then DHL totally screws up.

I'm not sure they paid "extra" for DHL delivery.  I think they went with the cheapest option ... and got what they paid for!

They choose to send the razors with a courier company rather than via regular snail mail. So yeah, they paid MORE than they needed to speed things up. Be happy your razor will show up someday Wink

Poor choice then wasn't it? Pay extra money to create ill will. Usually you can create ill will for free without even trying. The package i had waiting at the post office wasn't my Rockwell 6c it was some Route 66 soap, $12 duty? Tracking shows my 6c is still in Frankfurt. Not even Canada Post is this bad.

While I still love my 6s, I won't be buying anything else from Rockwell and I'll avoid using DHL where possible. Its the only way customers can respond to truly bad service isn't it?

How's the knurling on the 6C? The 6S has been my go to razor since I got it but I wish the knurling was a little more aggressive. I understand that they received feedback that the original 6S was a little to aggressive and tamed it with the bead blasting.

I truly understand your frustration-I hate it when an Amazon Prime package shows up a day late.

But if I were in your shoes, I'd be pointing the blame at DHL, not Rockwell. Sure, maybe Rockwell chose poorly, but it seems the onus is on DHL.

You're right the 6S (and 6C) are wonderful, great-value razors. Gareth did his part-making a solid razor. DHL is the screw up here as I see it.

In any event, my fingers are crossed that it gets to you soon!

I have to agree here 100% Rockwell tried to do a service in good faith to the consumer by using DHL to get the razor out quickly, however it was DHL who buggered that up, I have no ill feeling towards Rockwell.

And yes my package still says it is sitting in Germany.

Maybe yes and maybe no. When you're buying a delivery service you usually chose from among various service levels each with an associated price and you generally get what you pay for. I think Rockwell just chose the wrong service level which is unfortunate because I don't believe he actually wanted to use a delivery service that would take longer than ordinary postal service but its worked out that way. I'll get over it

You're a lawyer, so yes maybe they did choose the wrong delivery service but I do think they chose them thinking they would be able have a faster delivery, and yes it may have been cheaper than other services but I doubt less than USPS or Canada post.

I can't believe that my razor has been "stuck" in Germany since May 17th, with no movement and no explanation. DHL has yet to reply to my email that I sent last week.

I phoned them this morning but they're closed for Memorial Day.

I don't know anything for a fact. There's two parties that do but the rest of us are just speculating. But like GoHabs said , the packages have been stuck in Frankfurt since May 17. Who does that?
