'Official' Rockwell 6C Arrived Today-Superbacker Packaging

The Rockwell 6C arrived today. This is the 'official version. I had signed up for the 'super backer' package, which included an early version and the 'official' version.

The package is very nice indeed. I can find no difference between the two razors-they seem identical. I'll have to put them on the scale, but I'd be surprised if there's a significant difference in weight.

In the last two pictures below, the 'beta' is on the left, the new, 'official' is on the right.










Looking forward to shaving with it.

It's better if you like a lighter or cheaper version of the same razor.

I find the shaves to be very similar, and very smooth; very good.

The difference is that the 6S is stainless, with a matte finish, while the 6C is not stainless, but chrome plated and shiny.

As has been suggested, the 6C is a bit lighter, but not by much, and has very good heft.

Both very good razors, and as far as bang for the buck, you'd be hard pressed to do better than either the 6S or the 6C.

The final design of the 6S (and 6C) is perfect imo. I haven't found a smoother razor.

I've tried a reduced and more aggressive Wolfman blade gap and presently own a Wolfman SB. I'm on the fence on the new Guerrilla version and own a Timeless. Their just average shavers for me.

Nothing shaves as well for me than the 6S.

I hope new wet shavers get that rather than following the herd and getting frustrated about wait lists, finally getting an unobtainable, then having to declare it's the best razor ever, when deep down inside they know it's not true.

Thanks for the pictures, the 6c looks lovely. Definitely a razor to consider if it shaves as good as the 6s

I got mine yesterday. Two shaves in and I am loving it! I hope it can be friends with my beloved Gillette Slim Adjustable!

How's the knurling on the 6C? The 6S has been my go to razor since I got it but I wish the knurling was a little more aggressive. I understand that they received feedback that the original 6S was a little to aggressive and tamed it with the bead blasting.

Are you sure the brushed one isn't polished? Both razors look great either way. I don't see how a new wet-shaver could find a better razor to buy. I haven't tried one yet but with so many plates I can't imagine not finding one that works for most anyone.

Wolverine the knurling is quite good on the 6C, maybe just a bit more pronounced than on the 6S.  This could be due to the different metal in the 6C.

Hobbyist I'm definitely no expert on razor finishes: if I can use the top cap of a razor as a mirror, I consider it polished

I agree that either razor is a remarkable value. It's as solid as a tank, and having the flexibility of the reversible plates is nice when you want a different feel to the shave. I've even switched to a lower-numbered plate for touchups in a shave.
