A new and improved Occam's Razor is in the works. As per a recent pm conversation with the maker Luke Webster, there is a planned reduction in safety guard width, a hollowed out handle and some optional finish colors like brushed stainless, black and gold. Also for those that already have the first version there will be options on just purchasing the handle and guard assembly so one wouldn't have to purchase a completely new razor as the original heads will work with the redesigned one. It's on....

This might be very interesting. I use the 3 dot head and I am satisfied with the performance but if this turns out to be an improvement I am in.

I'm with you on that. Although the V1 is very good, I would have liked the guard to be a bit smaller in width in relation to contact with the razor blade and skin. I think that would provide a better and more intuitive shave plane and angle for the user. Would help in the stache area too quite significantly in my opinion with getting under the nose and corners. I'll probably jump on a whole new razor just to compare to the original.

A couple of pics on the new V2 O.R.E.N. (Occam's Razor Enhanced Nano) as it just went live on the KS Campaign site.

I had the original and sold it as the blade guard was just too wide, jumped in on this one since they reduced the width by half. I know I like the aggressive head so just did the $41 pledge.

what manufacturing process is being used to make the razor? MIM, CNC or else?

I believe MIM if I’m correct. That’s the process they used on the 1st version.

Correction. The CCS site states that the razor is “milled and assembled” in Idaho.
