Some kind persons or machines already cracked them for me.

Mine had no lids.

I have had miso frequently in sushi restaurants. They have never had lids.
I wonder if there is a lucrative market somewhere for those lids.
Perhaps a discus tossing academy?

Mickey

Check out eBay. They have tons of miso bowls and lids!

I've tried a few other bowls but this pewter dish with a little handle it's somewhat Square and has something of a lip to it I just keep coming back to it. Your candy dishes seem to work great and they all have a nice lid.. if I could find the right glass pieces ideas that I keep looking at the thrift stores but haven't found what I wanted.
The ceramic one I like the interior colors, however it was tearing up the sides of my brush handle.[Image: n0gCIx3.jpg][Image: QmOgHSH.jpg]

Both of those are nice but I can see how the ceramic one would hurt your brush. Thank you for the compliment on the soap/candy bowls! Another good place is yard sales. Most people walk right past them.

The miso bowls are readily available online in a range of sizes, try Nitori and MTC Kitchen. Lots of nice options on MTC Kitchen, all from Japan.

Agreed! Some beautiful colors and designs too. Makes them very appealing.

I know I have posted these before but they (gravy/cream boats) really work well for holding and lathering hard soaps. The dish I found at Winners and has a raised design which helps with lathering with creams.
