That dense 26 looks amazing. I'll definitely get one of those when they're ready. I've got a pair of 24mms headed my way. Can't wait to try them.

I've been shaving with this brush for a while now. It's definately high among my favorites. I'm so glad I was able to get this brush at such a reasonable price.

Ok...so here is my initial impressions.

Got the brush while I was at work. This brush is a productivity killer!! Did not even get the rest of my order looked at. I pulled out the brush...felt it in the hand and new I had to......TEST LATHER!! Yes, I have soaps at work. Pulled out the Pre de Provence and headed to locker room.

So I will admit that my experience with badger brushes is limited. I have used a couple times a Thater and AoS silver tip brushes, and couple of no name pure badger.

The brush, wet, meets all my expectations of badger. So all the silver tips I used felt floppy, and the pure felt like sand paper. This bush was none of that. The backbone is solid while wet. I had not problems at all getting a load on this brush. I do have to say I need some practice to figure out how much I need to load as I am used to synthetics.

The feel on the face is firm but very soft. I felt no scritch while I used this. My synthetics still feel a tad softer, but they also do not have the backbone of this. Well except for my new Stirling 24mm synthetic. Plenty backbone there too!

I came home, and after the kids went to bed I went for an evening shave. Used some Stirling Clubman. Great shave. Still needed to work on lather. There was a slight wet badger scent, but after just these two lathering it is almost gone. I did learn that with it blooming like it has that I do not have to splay nearly as much as I do with my synthetics.

This brush has already earned itself a place in my top 3 brushes along with the 24mm Stirling synthetic.

Thank you Rod and Mandy!

Great thread, but I wish it wasn't! I've been supremely happy with my 4 synthetics, having deep sixed a couple of cheap badgers. Felt that if I had to spend big bucks for decent badger, why bother since my synthetics were so satisfying and required no prep work prior to use. Now, along come you bunch of pitchmen and have me about convinced that this brush is badger that acts like its expensive brethren at a price point that appeals to me.

Well, I guess the closet can stand just one badger, right?

N.B. An English friend was telling me how Dachshunds are used to go into badger holes, root them out and kill them. Their body shape and high courage level makes it possible. I'm told that the badger, when backed up, is a most formidable foe, and not something that a full grown human should bother with. Hats off to the courageous little dachsund!

It has not unseated the synthetics for me, but has beat several of them. It is a different brush that gives a different experience on the face than synthetics. It is definitely in top 3, and worth the price.

The price (even at the full price) is what attracted me.
