You should be!
I forgot to update this thread. I was able to have a friend locally bring his Finest over. I was immediately impressed with it. Obviously not the best hair you can get on a badger brush, but at this price, I cannot think of a better value. It's dense, and when wet, very soft.
I knew I had to order one.
As a bonus, at least the brush I received has the "gel like" tips. It's really weird for me since I've not had this before. But face lathering was awesome yesterday. I look forward to tomorrow's shave!
If you couldn't tell, I'm a fan.
I'm glad you like it! It really is an outstanding brush.
Do I have better badger knots? Yup. For $30USD? Nope! Not even close to that price.
The Stirling Finest Badger Brush has to be one of the best for the money. I can see this brush easily staying in my rotation. I really do enjoy using this brush.
I just checked and Stirling Soap Co. still has this brush in stock and still at $29.99USD + shipping. I don't know how you do it ezlovan, but thank you for bringing such a nice badger brush to the market and for an incredible price. And, you still have them in stock!
Thanks, man. I appreciate the compliments and I'm glad you like the brush. It honestly has been a slow seller, and I know why. $30 for finest badger? gotta be a crap brush is what most are thinking. I'm hoping that word will continue to get around that it's not a bad brush. The next set we order will go up to $39.99, though, as we really aren't making any money off of these once shipping, customs, and fish and wildlife fees are counted in (yes, for dead badger hair I have to pay US fish and wildlife).
We're also going to be doing it in 26mm, and we're going to do a second finest knot style that is more dense than this one for those who prefer the super dense knot. I've got a couple of high end badgers, and I honestly prefer the medium density on this on and on my Rudy Vey. They may not be as luxurious as a $200 or $300 brush, but the flow through on the lather is what I like on them.

Yes this! That is fantastic new Rod, but when do you plan to release it? Price point?
The order is going to cost me more than I've ever spent on anything (they won't do it for less than 1000 units), so it's just going to depend on how sales go and when I can save up the money. I'm hoping to have them this fall and be able to offer them at the same price point. The Kong really set off the low price Plisson-style synthetic revolution, and I'm hoping to do the same with the finest badger. Only this time I'm trying to keep the price so low that the bigger companies can't come in and undercut me again since they can buy much larger quantities that I can afford.

Right on, Rod. And that is why you have me as a customer for life.
Best of luck, can't wait to see what you have in store for us.

Rod, earlier today I was actually just thinking of writing to ask how the other brushes were coming along. The picture you posted of them in April on Instagram is simply beautiful. Been waiting patiently since I saw it, but now I understand how big of an undertaking it is. Thanks for the updates!

I forgot about that. Yeah, here's a picture of those. Left is the Kong, Li'l Brudder on the right, a silvertip that I'm probably not going to do second from the right, and the dense 26mm 2-band second from the left.

That’s the photo (nice background, by the way), and that 26 mm two-band is really something to behold! I’m a synthetic guy, but I’d snap that one up, nevertheless.
