I think the correct price would be 59$ unless something had changed (as stated on another thread). I think at these prices I'll just wait for reviews on both the General and the Hawk (as both are new aluminum AC SE).

TSE and TCS did very thorough reviews on YouTube.
Yes, and no offense meant here (I like watching his videos), but was there a product that TSE didn't like? Also, there's a difference between prototypes and final production run.

You're probably right. He hasn't disliked much that has come his way, at least not openly, with the exception of his whole "artisans of integrity" nonsense.

Just offering some suggestions. Sometimes you have to work with the information you have at hand. My bad!

Don't get me wrong, I hope it's a great razor. The more options we have the better.

Most of these SE using Feathers pretty much work the same "to me".  Difference in materials and weight, otherwise Feather is a Feather, is a Feather, IMO and experience.

I don't quite agree with that.   The ATT SE is quite different from a Mongoose, which is a different shave from an alumigoose which is quite different from a King Cobra.

Feather makes DE blades too, but that doesn't mean all DE razors shave the same.  I understand the thickness of the AC blade allows for far less changes in blade configuration, but you can still get very different angles of attack and blade exposure.  GEM PTFE blades are all the same, thick blade, non bendable, but there is a huge difference with some of the old SE shaves.   Right now it seems all the AC SE razors are similar, but they don't need to be.

A $59 price and August release date has been posted on an overseas forum. Interesting.

The blades may be the same, but the geometry of the head makes a difference. I don't think I shared much, if anything, publicly from my testing of the General. I will say that this is much more mild than the Mongoose, AlumiGoose v1, Cobra Classic, & King Cobra. I could not get a close shave with the General and a Feather Pro blade. This is my blade of choice with the other razors mentioned. However, once I put the Feather Super Pro in the General I was rewarded with one of the easiest shaves ever using this blade type. The Super Pro blade in any of the other razors I mentioned would need extreme care from me to prevent nicks, weepers, & irritation.

Also, to my knowledge the prototypes that have been talked about are the same as the production model.

if the price remains low, I think it'd be hard to pass it up...

I actually like the black look as well.

Like I said, in my experience. Wasn't looking for an agreement that I already know I won't get. All faces are not the sameBig Grin

I guess the bold statement was what I was trying to get at. Oh well is just shaving, so no argument from me.
