Pearl has taken up the challenge and put up a razor to compete against the Parker SoloEdge. Very interesting and it is over half of the cost as well. Reviews and takes on it should be fairly soon in the making….

It just says single edge and comes with 20 Silvermax single edge blades. I have no experience with an SE razor, but I'm guessing you can break a DE blade in half?

It should be very interesting. It is over half the price and includes a stand. Just to point out some similarities between brands. Both are made in India, brass handles with plating, zinc alloy heads (Parker says metallic alloy). Both are generally well priced and considered good shavers for what they cost.

I’ll wait for the reviews but at this price I’ll likely give one a try unless initial reviews are a disaster. The SoloEdge is still on my short list. I’ll hopefully have one in the near future.
