New Blackland Era

Any updates?

I remember from one of the interviews that Shane did that Blackland would change the logo and visual identity before launching the Era. Because it would come with it's new box and the new identity. Well, the logo has changed so I think it is getting close.

Hey guys! We hit a technical snag (sort of two) which we didn’t see coming so we’ve been working on that for the last few weeks. I think we finally have it resolved and have figured out the path forward. Now that we’re there I think I should have a substantive update in a week-ish where I'll address what's going on and some changes to the process. The good news is that everything else is now lined up for launch so we’re prepped.

Not bad! But we'll need to readjust your avg pretty soon (hopefully/probably to 0.0000).

So the ERA will not be black but instead a raw finish but very nice. Big announcement coming.

I would be so much happier if the Era is a raw finish and not some black coating.

I'll keep this short and simple, mine were and always have been in jest when I post them leading up to a stated release date. I think Shane liked it too as he had time to lurk here and come thru seeing them (he was seen on the forum) but said nothing about not making the May time he threw out to everyone. Come June 1st I google and find that he posted elsewhere 2 weeks before that they wouldn't make the May estimate. Remember he was cruzing thru here and KNEW he wasn't going to make it and saw all the artificial hype for his razor and no doubt enjoyed it and was laughing as he said nothing and cruzed on. After I posted on June 1st he knew and posted such 2 weeks prior elsewhere while never saying anything here he posts downplaying it and an email goes out to everyone the next day on June 2nd about it not making what was just an estimate. I want him to wait until it's right too as ANY manufacturer should. Not interested in his creative marketing though. I'll no doubt get an Era at some point but I'm no longer in a hurry............you can all start flaming me now. I'm done with this subject....facts are facts

Good grief. Trying to read this makes my head hurt.

One little detail. If the head has a raw ( rockwell 6s ish) finish, and the handle has a CNC mill "machined" finish, how will the colors fit? Do you bead blast the handles?
