I heard all the hype and thought I'd give it a go having been burned by an ebay Chinese brush seller and I'm glad I did. Fantastic value brush in my opinion.

Can anyone who have both the 2 band finest and the silvertip comment on any differences?

I did pick up a 24 2 band and doing an initial palm lather to de-funk it.

I don't have a 3-Band one, but from what my friends have told me, they have less backbone than the 2-Band ones. I would speculate that they are similar to many other 3-Band knots; thinner shafts of hair, quite dense and not as much backbone as 2-Band knots.
Good luck.

I figured that the silvertip would have less backbone, and maybe be a tad softer?

Ok, I put in an order for the 30mm 2 band finest fan they look very promising for the price factor. Last order was here in less than 2 weeks which is great from China.

Congratulations.
I have two of the earlier versions of the 2-Bands and they are excellent brushes for the price, both measuring 33mm at the handle opening, and three stand-alone knots that look even better. One is already in a custom brush and it is superb. I am waiting on two more custom brushes to set the other two knots into. Again, these knots are larger than the 30mm stated, as the knots seem to be measured at their glue-plug which would require a 2-3mm larger opening in any custom handle if ordering the stand-alone knot.

Here is the one in the custom handle.

I purchased a 24 brush which came out to a 26 many months ago, it is a lovely brush. At the same time I ordered a 24 knot and 2 26 overstuffed knots that need a 29 opening, I put the 24 knot into a WW also a beautiful brush. I just sent off to Rudy V a vintage ER and one of the 26 knots, hope to it back in a couple of weeks. Will post a review and pics.

Here are the MS 24 and the WW

Thank you, both, gentlemen.
Todd, yes, it is a Doug Korn handle. I used to have a WSP Manchurian knot set into it, but the knot started shedding so I extracted it and and the MS one from another handle and set the latter one into the handle. The knot is much too large for this handle, but it seems to be working out well. Hopefully, it won't be an issue. Big Grin
