These also arrived today. Also two weeks from the day I ordered them.
I got them both in wooden boxes, and they both came with black plastic drip stands. Very nicely packed-like Rob, I figured that the wooden box would protect it on the long trip. I had ordered brushes from FS with the wooden boxes, and they were both packed the same-with green shredded paper to look like grass to protect the brush. Very nice. And they've branded the top of the box.
They're soaking now, will post pics once they are bloomed.

That's what I was afraid of, celestino! I thought that this MS brush would feel huge, but it just feels really good, instead. Thanks for helping with the enabling! This is one purchase that doesn't involve any buyer's remorse.

I do get the bleach type smell from it as opposed to the usual badger funk but I actually prefer that to the usual funk. It seems to dissipate a bit quicker when cycling through the test lathers to break it in. It's lost a few hairs , mainly unattached and incomplete hairs. I'd say during the course of 6 test lathers and one actual use it has shed 2 full length hairs which is well within the new (inexpensive) brush tolerances for me. I was quite impressed with the packaging for the money as well. I went with the cardboard and it's a very sturdy box indeed with excellent protective packaging inside and out, the ridiculously tall drip stand raised a smile as well. I know packaging doesn't bother some folk but when I received my Morris & Forndran polo last month (which I adore) it arrived in a a plastic bag/envelope wrapped in bubble wrap. No harm came to it but I was a bit underwhelmed by the appearance of it , I was expecting Unicorn's and heavenly harps to be playing for the price of it lol!

There really is no difference for me when it comes to the Simpson Best and Super variety of Chubby 2 and 3 brushes except they will cost 4 or 5 times more. Enjoy.
Sounds good. I really wish they had stock of the horn color in the fan shape. But if this works out I'll just have something to look forward to.
