yep...where did you get yours? I sold mine probably a year ago or so..can't remember to who though.

I bought mine locally off of some gents on craigslist for $20...there were also 2 other razors with it, a gillette new or old type (can't remember) and a segal.

Good article - the last paragraph mentioned that brewed coffee has reduced levels of flavour and other goodies compared to espresso due to the paper filter taking it out. Solution?  Use the gold screen filters, you get better flavour plus goodies and you're not putting paper into he trash - it biodegrades but you can save money buying a decent gold screen filter - if you take care of it it will last up to 10 years.  The flavour is closer to french press than paper filter brewed drip coffee.

I used to use metal filters but all the extra oil getting into the brew, while tasty, did have an effect on my digestion. I only use paper filters now.

Thats too bad. Were you drinking a lot of coffee? I find that 2 great (normal size) cups in the morning and I'm good for the day. anything else afterwards just diminishes the goodness of the morning coffee - it'd be like having an afternoon shave with a cartridge razor and canned foam after having a damn fine shave in the morning. Why? I have one cup of coffee made using the pour-over technique and I do use a paper filter for that and then my second cup will come from the pot that I'll brew using a metal screen in a Techni-Vorm drip brewing machine. I really enjoy the coffee I make, it starts with roasting my own beans weekly, its one of my tiny joys and I would be a little bit sadder if for one reason or another I was no longer able to indulge.Smile
